Might and Magic Heroes 6 Towards the Within Scenario

In Might and Magic Heroes 6, Anastasya continues her quest to uncover the culprit behind her father's death in the towards the within scenario. This is the second mission within the Necropolis campaign and is even harder than the first mission. This will guide the heroine Anastasya in picking up the right treasures, completing the right side quests and winning the final two fights in the towards the within scenario.

Might and Magic Heroes 6 Towards the Within Mission Tactics

In might and magic heroes 6, after Anastasya demolishes the prison holding Jorgen prisoner, Jorgen tells Anastasya there is a way to uncover her lost memories. She must travel within herself (hence the name of the mission - Towards the Within) and uncover those lost memories. Determined to find the true culprit behind her framing, Anastasya accepts the mission.

As usual, Anastasya starts off the mission with a pathetic number of undead core necropolis creatures, namely some skeletal spearmen and ghouls. This is hardly the stuff of legends, and definitely not the undead army one wants to bring into any battle. The key to the Towards the Within Mission Tactics is to prevent loss of these undead creatures and pick up more core necropolis undead creatures, as well as adding some Elite and Champion necropolis creatures. Again, as with the previous mission, stay true to the path of the main mission and do only those side quests that will add to the number of undeads within Anastasya's army. Use quick battle options for those battles where Anastasya's army number exceeds the opponents'. Use the manual battle options for those battles the heroine finds interesting (i.e has new exciting creatures to fight), or those where the odds and numbers are against Anastasya. There are really only two fights (the last two battles) where this will happen if the heroine follows the correct path.

Might and Magic Heroes 6 Towards the Within True Path

In Might and Magic Heroes 6 Towards the Within Scenario, the true path can vary depending on the heroine's playing style. The path to the final two fights in Towards the Within Mission is broken up into various segments, or parts of the dreamscape that Anastasya is trying to navigate. The start of the harder battles begins with the heroine being pitted against Irina and later one of the water creatures fortress. This will unlock the next stage of the dream, where Anastasya is allowed to choose between the Tears Path or the Blood Path.

The final part of the dreamscape lands Anastasya in a battle with Anton and later her twin. Attacking Anton will cause Anastasya to lose a significant number of her undeads. Do the side quests to accumulate more undead again. At the same time, throughout the dreamscape there are necropolis forts where undead can be recruited. It is quite essential for the heroine to defeat the creatures guarding these forts and add more undead to the ranks.

Towards the end of the final dreamscape, Anastasya will fight her twin. She should have at least 5 Fate Weavers, 25 Liches, 50 Ghouls and 65 Ghosts before entering this fight. Having some lightning and ice bolt spells (need to level up correctly) will help a lot in this penultimate fight.

Before entering the final fight (talk to Jorgen to enter the final fight), Anastasya should at least have 5 Fate Weavers, 25 Liches, 20+ Ghouls, and about 100 Ghosts before entering this fight. The key to this fight is to take out the Succubus first, followed by the maniacs. Use as much lightning and ice bolt spells whenever possible. Purchase or win as many attack spells scrolls from merchants scattered throughout the dreamscape to bring into this fight. With the correct number of undead and spells, Anastasya will win this final fight against a reflection of herself and win the Towards the Within scenario. To complete the Towards the Within Scenario, remember to choose either the Blood Path or Tears Path, and watch the cutscene at the end oft the Towards the Within Scenario.
