Nerf Lazer Tag Set

Updated on June 10, 2014

The boys got this exact same NERF Lazer tag set for Christmas a couple of years ago and it has been one of the most played with gifts they have gotten. It's the toy that does not spend very much time in the toy box!

It has held up well for many battles. I picked one up and joined in on the fun many times myself.

If you think two player action is a fun, get a whole group playing NERF Lazer Tag and you're in for a blast. When they got these guns, I thought it would be cool when they tore open the present and put in the

batteries. The lazer tag gun came to life! It made all kinds of cool sounds, they immediately got into a lazer gun battle right in the rec room down stairs. When one son shot at the other one with the laser gun his red light flashed and made a noise. The system is more accurate than I expected. Loads of fun without having to pick-up darts and reload!

You can set a switch on the gun to set your 'life' at either 10 or 25 "hits".when you run out of 'lives' it's game over and your gun stops working. This tag gun has a rather cool recoil and some vibration each time a shot/hit registers, which truly add to the overall experience.

We enjoyed the guns so much we soon ordered 2 more lazer tag guns so that we could play along with the boys. The boys friends enjoy playing 4 player teams with them too. There are the different modes: inside/outside, individual/team. It uses several AA batteries, but they last a surprisingly long time. I think this is some really amazing technology considering the price.

Designed for ages eight and up

This is something that both my boys would like and freak out the wife at the same time.
