Ninja Gaiden Ragebound Leaped From the Shadows on July 31st.

Once again I'm late in blogging about this, but Ninja Gaiden Ragebound is available on PS4 and PS5. Ninja Gaiden takes place along side the events of the original Ninja Gaiden. While Ryu Hyabusa journeys to America to avenge his father Joe Hyabusa, the Hyabusa village is left under the protection of Kenji. During this demons invade both the Hyabusa village and Black Spider village. This causes an alliance between Kenji and Kumori as they uncover the plot behind the attack. There's even a prologue stage where you play as Joe Hyabusa who embarks on the mission that results in his death.

The gameplay is an action side-scroller where you play as Kenji and the kunoichi(female ninja) "Kumori" of the Black Spider clan. After their paths converge, they agree to an alliance as through demon alters, Kumori is able to traverse the demon realm and unlock path ways and gain items Kenji can't touch. Ragebound also has side-quests, upgradable abilities, and secret collectibles.

The reception from critics has been surprisingly positive with 9/10 on IGN, 9.5 on Game Informer, and 84/100 on Meta-Critic. With estimated sales on Steam being around 42.87 downloads. And it's getting praise from fans for its classic aesthetics and gameplay. I'll be looking to play it when I get a PS4. Ninja Gaiden Ragebound is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam as of July 31st.
