Nintendo 3DS Handheld Review
The Nintendo 3DS Functions
Fresh off the Nintendo DS comes the brand new Nintendo 3DS. Now when you first see the handheld video game, you'll notice that it looks very similar to the original DS. But there is way more to it that the DS and it has a lot more to offer. The 3DS has twice the amount of functions to offer for the consumer than the regular DS. When you open the 3DS, the first thing you will see that it now has a 'Select', 'Home' and 'Start' button right below the bottom screen. While on the top screen it has the 3D switch, so when you play your games, you could either have the option to play it in 2D or 3D. Also new to the 3DS is the Thumbpad that is similar to the Sony PSP, but is much more smoother. When you turn your 3DS around, you will notice that there are two cameras (instead of the one that they have on the DSi). This is so you could now take your photos in 3D. With the Wifi, not only could you go online and play against others, but you could now go into the Nintendo Store online and upload new applications to add on to your 3DS and you can save them all onto you SD Card which is also included with the 3DS. Not only that, but in the store, you can also purchase and download new original games and games from the old 1st generation Gameboy Black and White. But there is still more to offer that I have yet to explain. So come check out the brand new Nintendo 3DS.
FaceRaiders
This is an exciting application game that is included in the 3DS. The object of the game is that you begin with taking a picture of yourself (or a friend/family member) and that person is the enemy. Your goal is to take down as many as you (or whoever you took the picture of) down before going on to face the boss (which is you). Defeat the boss and you win the game. The best part is that you are part of the game, which makes it more exciting and hilarious.
Mii Maker
For those of you who have the Wii and are familiar with the Mii on the Wii, you can now make your own for the Nintendo 3DS. You could also use your Mii in certain video games that they have available for the 3DS. So it's like having the Wii to go.
Netflix for the 3DS
This is probably one of the best application so far for the 3DS. When you purchase your 3DS, Netflix isn't initially installed onto the handheld. You would have to go to the Nintendo Store and download it from there. It's free and you can use your current Netflix account to get on as well. If you don't have an account, be sure to sign up for one. Now you can have your movies to go, thanks to Netflix. At present time, all movies are in 2D, not 3D.
