Top 5 Greatest Best Games To Play On Roblox Right Now- In No Particular Order
What is Roblox?
Roblox is a platform that contains million of smaller games inside of it, allowing players to hop from game to game depending on how they feel. Despite recent allegations, Roblox will go down as one of, if not, the BEST multiplayer online free game of all time. But for a lot of us, we can find the game boring a lot of times, especially because good quality games are so hard to find with with the appearance of brain rot and unentertaining games. But I assure you, the platform still has tons of great games to play together and alone, so without further adieu, here are the top 10 games on Roblox right now, in no particular order:
99 Nights In The Forest
99 Nights in The Forest is the perfect mix between collaboration, horror, adventure, and mystery. It's scary enough to be classified as a horror game, but not so scary that no one wants to play it. The small storyline and many directions to go in allow for many different playstyles and runs. The devs do such a great job of keeping this game alive by adding new biomes, mechanics, and locations, and these small changes can add so much to the gaming experience of 99 Nights because it unlocks new strategies, techniques, and most importantly, high scores. You've probably heard of this game and gave it to a try, but trust me it has so much more potential with friends, and it's basically just guaranteed fun.
Grow A Garden
At this point, we've all heard of this game. The "surprise gaming hit" on Roblox, as BBC calls it. Some think the game doesn't deserve it's popularity, but I genuinely think that the game that seems simple on the surface, has so much to do that people haven't done. The premise of the game is simple: Plant, harvest, sell, buy, and repeat. But the creators make the simple cycle so much more addicting by adding a seed shop with super rare seeds that resets every 5 minutes- the perfect time period which forces players to wait another 5 minutes in hopes of getting their favorite fruit. The game doesn't deserve hate at all- it not only broke the players active at a time record, but also has devs that update the game to make it live up to it's popularity. They add seasonal updates, new fruits, and interesting tools every now and then to keep players on the edge. The game is amazing and with friends or not, can have you addicted for hours.
Volleyball Legends
Volleyball Legends is another great game on this list, and in my opinion, is criminally underrated. The game has usually somewhere between 50K-80K players at a time, which is so much less than I believe it should be. The game deserves 200K+ players at a time because of how beautifully Volleyball Game Group was able to design it's mechanics. The feeling of hitting a perfectly timed spike, or diving to get a last-second receive, is just perfect, and combined with the style and ability systems, is just perfect. The developers know how to run a game- the mechanics of the game itself remain untouched to this day, allowing for returning players to not be lost, but still make meaningful updates that add new styles, abilities, and ranks to the game. They also do a great job of dealing with spins- the pity system makes the game so much less pay to win, and having free codes every month make players run back to the game every month. The game is great to play with friends, because of the diversity of techniques, combos, game modes, and more. Hear me out, try this game out- you'll love it.
Voyagers
Every once in a while, someone on the platform decides to release a game with such good graphics, mechanics, and gameplay, that I wonder why it's on Roblox and not on Steam. Voyagers is one of those games. The games is truly a beauty. In my many hours of playing it, I can confirm that I've experienced just the tiniest fraction of the full game, which is something I truly admire. The idea of the game is that you're on a ship in the middle of the ocean, and have the ability to explore the entire ocean. You heard that right- the entire ocean. This game covers somehow, all of the best genres- mystery, horror, adventure, combat, and building. The vast nature of the game allows for players to explore the same ocean for hours on hours, doing everything from fighting pirate ships, killing zombies, fishing, repairing your ship, and exploring islands. The game gives a new level of power to the player, allowing for the player to do anything they would ever want to do- they could try to fight the entire game, they could fish the entire game, they could explore the entire game, or really anything they want. Multiplayer only adds amazingness to the game, in the form of more exploration, hilarious moments, and more. If you're looking for an experience that is easily good enough to not be a Roblox game, look towards Voyagers.
Blade Ball
I have to say, this game has fallen off a good bit since it's release, but to this day remains one of the best games to play with friends on the platform. Similar to Grow A Garden, the premise of the game is extremely simple: When the ball comes to you, hit it, and use your ability once in a while to try and eliminate someone or save yourself. But the simple premise evolves into an intense and entertaining masterpiece when you play with your friends, despite it's sad 20K player count at most times. The masterful blend of game modes and free abilities more than make up for the sweats and overpowered abilities, because your friend group can always escape to a private server and choose the "No Ability" game mode for hours of pure, undestroyable fun. Ranked and 2v2's adds even more to the game, giving it grinding and friendly competition potential. Overall, the game has fallen off a little, but is still a great game that tests your reaction time and forces you to have a little friendly competition.
