The Strongest Monsters In The Game
I am Marc Guberti, and I want to show you some of the best Dragon monsters in the game. These monsters are my favorite group of monsters because they are known for their high ATK, nasty effects, and artwork. Blue Eyes White Dragon was the first important and strong Dragon introduced to the game. Since then, Dragon-Type monsters have gradually risen as the best type of monster for anyone! These monsters have the potential to change the entire duel. I have made many Decks and have used them in many duels. These are my reviews of Dragon-Type monsters that I think will prove to be very valuable additions to your Deck.
Some Of My Favorites
Stardust Xiaolong is a Level 1 monster with 100 ATK and 100 DEF. You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard immediately after you Synchro Summon 1 Stardust Dragon. Once per turn, if Stardust Xiaolong is attacked, then it is not destroyed. Stardust Xiaolong is an awesome card that eats up two of your opponent's attacks every turn. If this card is the only card on your side of the field, and your opponent controls 2 strong monsters, none of those monsters will be able to attack your life points that turn. If you Special Summon this card by its own effect (having a Stardust Dragon on your side of the field) and have a Majestic Dragon on your side of the field, you can also Special Summon a Majestic Star Dragon from your Deck that can do devastating damage to your opponent with its 3800 ATK.
Gandora The Dragon of Destruction
Gandora The Dragon of Destruction has 0 ATK and 0 DEF and perhaps one of the most interesting effects in the game. Gandora cannot be Special Summoned from your Graveyard, and it is destroyed during the End Phase. However, with those standards, you will soon appreciate Gandora's effect. During your turn, you can pay half of your life points to banish every card on the field except this one. This card then gains 300 ATK for each card banished by its effect. So, with nothing on the field except your Gandora The Dragon of Destruction, then why not attack? Gandora will have loads of ATK that can easily be used to inflict a lot of damage to your opponent. Gandora will prove to be a very valuable card for your Deck if you want to clear the field quickly.
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon has 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF which is a good value for 2 Tributes. By Tributing 2 monsters with over 2000 ATK, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is involved in a battle, you can banish this card and the other monster involved in the battle. Then, during the End Phase, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon and the other banished monster come back to the field. If you use this card's effect effect to banish 1 XYZ Monster, then it gains 500 ATK times the number of XYZ Materials that were attached to the XYZ Monster before it was banished. The XYZ Monster would have also lost all of its XYZ Materials, and most of them need their XYZ Materials in order to activate their effects. This card gets rid of that problem and gives itself a nice ATK boost at the same time! If you need to deteriorate the value of your opponent's XYZ Monsters, then Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon is the perfect addition for your Deck.
Dark Horus is a Level 8 DARK monster with 3000 ATK and 1800 DEF. Once per turn, during your opponent's Main Phase, when a Spell Card is activated, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 DARK monster from your Graveyard. Having that extra monster is a good advantage and makes your opponent think twice before using another Spell Card during his/her Main Phase. The monsters you Special Summon from Dark Horus' effect could be used as Synchro Materials or XYZ Materials. All you would need to do is have a Tuner or another Level 4 monster on your side of the field in order to Special Summon a monster from your Extra Deck.
Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon is a Level 5 DARK monster with 2200 ATK and 1100 DEF. When one of your monsters on the field is destroyed by battle or by a card effect, you can Special Summon Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon from your hand. If your opponent thinks that he/she will be able to attack you directly, then they've got another thing coming if Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon is in your hand. If Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon is successfully able to stay on your side of the field when it is Special Summoned by its own effect, it will make for a good Synchro Material if you have a Tuner in your hand. Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon is designed to protect your life points from a lot of damage, but it can also be used as a Synchro Material if you have the necessary monsters.
Great Cards For Sale
Stardust Dragon is a Level 8 WIND monster with 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF. When any card targets and will destroy other card(s) on the field, you can Tribute Stardust Dragon to negate the effect of that card and destroy it. Dark Holes will be a thing of the past with Stardust Dragon at your command. Stardust Dragon comes back to your side of the field during the End Phase if Tributed for its effect, so you don't have to worry about losing a strong monster in the process. Stardust Dragon's effect can even be used if your opponent's card(s) would be destroyed by a card effect. Your opponent could try to deliberately destroy some of their cards to make you lose life points or get some kind of advantage. Stardust Dragon won't allow your opponent to gain an advantage against you by destroying some of their cards.
Red Dragon Archfiend
Red Dragon Archfiend is a Level 8 Synchro Monster with 3000 ATK and 2000 DEF. When Red Dragon Archfiend attacks one of your opponent's Defense Position monsters, then all Defense Position monsters on your opponent's side of the field are instantly destroyed. This effect will also force your opponent to make difficult decisions involving the positions of their monsters. If their monsters are left in Defense Position, they will all be taken out by Red Dragon Archfiend's effect. However, if your opponent chooses to leave his/her monsters in Attack Position, you will be able to inflict a lot of damage to your opponent with Red Dragon Archfiend's 3000 ATK. Red Dragon Archfiend can prove to destroy a lot of your opponent's monsters quickly, but if any of your monsters do not declare an attack, it is destroyed during the End Phase.
Black Rose Dragon
Black Rose Dragon is a Level 7 Synchro Monster with 2400 ATK and 1700 DEF. When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can destroy all cards on the field right then and there! If your opponent has more cards on the field than you do, and the cards you have on the field aren't that good, it would be logical to use this card's effect to destroy all cards on the field. If you have any Plant-Type monsters in your Graveyard, you can banish one of them in order to select 1 of your opponent's monsters. The selected monster is changed to Attack Position, and its ATK is reduced to 0 until the End Phase. Then you can attack that monster with this card to inflict 2400 damage to your opponent's life points. This effect will make it difficult for your opponent to prevent himself/herself from losing a lot of life points.
Dark Armed Dragon
Among all of the monsters, Dark Armed Dragon may have the easiest summoning requirements, and with 2800 ATK and 1000 DEF, it proves to be a good card. You cannot Normal Summon or Set Dark Armed Dragon, and you cannot Special Summon this card except by having exactly 3 DARK monsters in your Graveyard. This is usually easy to achieve, but it can be hard to remove DARK monsters from your Graveyard if you have too many. You can banish 1 DARK monster in your Graveyard to destroy 1 card on the field. When Dark Armed Dragon is Special Summoned, you can destroy up to 3 cards on the field right away since you have 3 DARK monsters in your Graveyard. Dark Armed Dragon can destroy cards that prevent you from inflicting damage to your opponent. Since this effect can be used more than once per turn, you can destroy multiple cards your opponent controls that get in the way of you being able to attack your opponent's life points directly.
Strong Wind Dragon
Strong Wind Dragon has 2400 ATK and 1000 DEF and cannot be destroyed by battle by a monster that has the same ATK. If you Tribute a Dragon-Type monster in order to Summon Strong Wind Dragon, then this card gains ATK equal to half the ATK of the Tributed monster. If you have a Deck with a lot of Dragon-Type monsters, this card will be able to gain a lot of ATK from its effect. Strong Wind Dragon inflicts piercing damage as well, and if it gains more ATK from its effect, Strong Wind Dragon will be able to inflict a lot of damage to your opponent's life points. If you want a powerful Monster Card that can get even stronger if it is in a Dragon-Type monster that inflicts piercing damage to your opponent, Strong Wind Dragon is the best card for your Deck.
Horus The Black Flamed Dragon LV4
Horus The Black Flamed Dragon LV4 has 1600 ATK and 1000 DEF. Control of this card cannot switch, so Change of Hearts and Creature Swaps won't be working anytime soon. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, during the End Phase, you can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV6 from your Deck.
Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV6
Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV6 has 2300 ATK and 1600 DEF. Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV6 is completely unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards, so cards like Dark Hole were things of the past. With 2300 ATK, Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV6 can destroy a lot of your opponent's monsters, and when that happens, you can Tribute Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV6 to Special Summon 1 Horus The Black Flamed Dragon LV8 from your hand or Deck.
Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8
Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8 has 3000 ATK and 1800 DEF. When Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8 is on your side of the field, you can decide which Spell Card's effects work or are negated, and with 3000 ATK, Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8 will cruise right through your opponent's monsters. However, Horus The Black Flame Dragon cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8 can only be Special Summoned by the effect of Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV6. It might be a long wait before you get Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8 on your side of the field, but the rewards are very high.
Rainbow Dragon is a very powerful monster 4000 ATK and 0 DEF. Rainbow Dragon cannot be Normal Summoned or Set, and it can only be Special Summoned from your hand when you have 7 Crystal Beast monsters with different names on your side of the field and/or in your Graveyard. Rainbow Dragon cannot activate any of its effects right away, but when it can, those effects can be catastrophic to your opponent. When Rainbow Dragon is on your side of the field, you can send all of your Crystal Beast monsters to the Graveyard to give Rainbow Dragon a 1000 ATK boost for each Crystal Beast monster sent to the Graveyard this way. This effect can be used during either players' turn, and Rainbow Dragon has another trick up its sleeve. You can banish all Crystal Beast monsters from your Graveyard to return all cards on the field to the owners' Decks. If you want an easy win, then go with Rainbow Dragon.
Rainbow Dark Dragon
Rainbow Dark Dragon has the same ATK and DEF values as Rainbow Dragon (4000 ATK and 0 DEF), but their effects differ. Rainbow Dark Dragon cannot be Normal Summoned or Set, and it can only be Special Summoned from your hand if you have 7 or more DARK monsters in your Graveyard. You must banish 7 of those DARK monsters in order to Special Summon Rainbow Dark Dragon from your hand. You can banish every DARK monster on your side of the field and in your Graveyard except Rainbow Dark Dragon to give it a 500 ATK boost for each DARK monster banished by this effect (the original 7 are not included).
Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode
Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode has 3500 ATK and 2500 DEF which is an upgrade based on Red Dragon Archfiend, the original Synchro Monster. You cannot Normal Summon or Set Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode, but you can only Special Summon it from your hand with Assault Mode Active. If Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode attacks, then all other monsters on the field are destroyed after the damage step. When Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode is destroyed, you can bring back 1 Red Dragon Archfiend from your Graveyard.
Armed Dragon LV10
Armed Dragon LV10 has 3000 ATK and 2000 DEF, but it cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. You can only Special Summon Armed Dragon LV10 by Tributing 1 Armed Dragon LV7 on your side of the field. By discarding any card from your hand, you can destroy all face-up monsters on your opponent's side of the field. Armed Dragon LV10 is the monster version of a Lightning Vortex, and getting that kind of a monster on your side of the field always proves to be helpful.
Armed Dragon LV7
Armed Dragon LV7 has 2800 ATK and 1000 DEF that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. You can only Special Summon Armed Dragon LV7 after applying the effect of Armed Dragon LV5. You can discard 1 Monster Card from your hand, and all monsters on your opponent's side of the field with ATK less than or equal to the ATK of the discarded card are destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Armed Dragon LV7's 2800 ATK can overpower almost anything that your opponent throws at you.
Armed Dragon LV5
Armed Dragon has 2400 ATK and 1700 DEF. Unlike its stronger levels, Armed Dragon LV5 can be Tribute Summoned, or it can be Special Summoned by the effect of Armed Dragon LV3. You can discard 1 Monster Card from your hand and select 1 monster your opponent controls with ATK equal or less than the discarded monster. The targeted monster is destroyed. When Armed Dragon Lv5 destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can send this face-up card to the Graveyard during your End Phase to Special Summon 1 Armed Dragon LV7 from your hand or Deck.
Armed Dragon LV3
Armed Dragon LV3 has 1200 ATK and 900 DEF. During your Standby Phase, you can send this face-up card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Armed Dragon LV5 from your hand or Deck. That is basically it for this card. Armed Dragon LV3 is designed to get on the field and be replaced by a stronger, better monster quickly.
Armed Dragons VS Horuses
The 2 monsters on this lens with LV in their name are the Armed Dragons and Horuses. There is no need to have both of these cards in your Deck. There are benefits to each of these Monster Cards. I think that each of these Monster Cards is better than the other in a specific way. If you want to destroy a lot of your opponent's monsters, go with the Armed Dragons, but if you want to stop your opponent from using Spell Cards, I recommend using the Horuses. Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8 is much stronger than Armed Dragon LV7 and is just as strong as Armed Dragon LV10. On the other hand, Armed Dragon LV7, LV10 (and rarely LV5) can destroy Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8 with their effects. Which cards are better for your Deck? You should determine what kind of Deck you have in order to determine which cards are better for you.
Blizzard Dragon has 1800 ATK and 1000 DEF, and it could be one of the best Level 4 monsters in the game. Once per turn, you can select 1 monster that your opponent controls. That monster cannot attack or change its Battle Position until the end of your opponent's next turn. So, your opponent cannot attack with the selected monster or change its Battle Position. You can keep on using this effect every turn, but not on your opponent's turn. Blizzard Dragon is easy to play and is a valuable addition to any Deck.
Malefic Truth Dragon
Malefic Truth Dragon is the strongest monster in the game with its 5000 ATK and 5000 DEF. Malefic Truth Dragon cannot be Normal Summoned or Set, and it can only be Special Summoned with 1 "Malefic" monster except Malefic Truth Dragon is destroyed by battle or by a card effect. In order to Special Summon this card, you must pay half of your life points, and it must be in your hand or Graveyard in order to use the effect. Malefic Truth Dragon must be the only face-up Malefic monster that you control, but your other monsters CAN attack. Malefic Truth Dragon is destroyed when there is no Field Spell Card on the field, and when Malefic Truth Dragon destroys an opponent's monster by battle, all face-up monsters that your opponent controls are destroyed. If you want a dragon on steroids, then get Malefic Truth Dragon.
Ancient Fairy Dragon
Ancient Fairy Dragon has 2100 ATK and 3000 DEF. Once per turn, with Ancient Fairy Dragon, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your hand, but on the turn you use this effect, you cannot conduct your Battle Phase. Ancient Fairy Dragon can also destroy 1 Field Spell Card on the field, and you gain 1000 life points every time you do so. When you destroy 1 Field Spell Card on the field, you can also add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand to replace the one you destroyed with Ancient Fairy Dragon's effect.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon
Blue-Eyes White Dragon was the first Dragon-Type Yugioh Card ever released, and it had 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF. This Level 8 LIGHT monster probably wouldn't stand a chance in today's game, but it is always memorable to look back and see where it all began. In my opinion, Chaos Emperor Dragon-Envoy of the End was the new Blue-Eyes White Dragon except it had an effect instead of the regular Blue-Eyes White Dragon description. Blue-Eyes White Dragons are still being sold today, and even though this card can't beat Dragon-Type monsters with effects, Blue-Eyes Dragon will be the most famous Yugioh Dragon of all time.
Light and Darkness Dragon
Light and Darkness Dragon has 2800 ATK and 2400 DEF, but although this card is a LIGHT monster, it is also considered as a DARK monster. When a card effect is activated, that card's effect is negated, and Light and Darkness Dragon loses 500 ATK and 500 DEF. When this card is destroyed, you can select 1 monster in your Graveyard, destroy all cards you control, and Special Summon the selected monster. This is a risky strategy considering that you are giving up your entire field for 1 monster, but with Creature Swap, Light and Darkness Dragon can destroy everything on your opponent's side of the field.
Decoy Dragon has 300 ATK and 200 DEF that can help you out with bringing back your strongest Dragon-Type monsters from your Graveyard. When Decoy Dragon is selected as an attack target, you can Special Summon 1 Level 7 or higher Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard, and then your opponent's monster is forced to attack the Special Summoned monster. You can get a free Level 7 or higher Dragon-Type monster and make your opponent lose a lot of life points in the process.
Clear Vice Dragon
Clear Vice Dragon has ? ATK and 0 DEF that has a nasty effect and protects you from Clear World's effects. Clear Vice Dragon's ATK become double the ATK of the monster that Clear Vice Dragon attacks, so if it is attacked, you have some bad news. However, you can use Spell/Trap Cards to make this card attack twice. Then it will be able to destroy more of your opponent's monsters with its effect. If Clear Vice Dragon would be destroyed by an opponent's card effect, you can discard 1 card from your hand instead.
What Is Clear World?
Clear World could be one of the nastiest cards in the entire game by far, especially if you control a Clear Vice Dragon. Clear World is a Field Spell Card that makes dueling with monsters that much harder. Clear World gives both players penalties based on the Attribute of the monster you control. There is no escape unless you have an Egyptian God Card (Divine Attribute), but everything else is affected. If you have a LIGHT monster on your side of the field, you must play with your hand revealed. If you have a DARK monster on your side of the field while you control 2 or more monsters, you cannot declare an attack. If you control a WIND monster, you must pay 500 life points to use a Spell Card. If you control a WATER monster, then you must discard 1 card from your hand during each of your End Phases. If you control an EARTH monster, you must destroy 1 face-up Defense Position monster during your Standby Phases. However, FIRE monsters are the worst. If you control a FIRE monster, you lose 1000 points during your End Phase.
A Lava Golem would be really good with this card's effect because your opponent would lose 2000 life points per turn.
Lava Dragon is a Level 4 FIRE Dragon-Type monster with 1600 ATK and 1200 DEF that is ahead of its time. You can Tribute this face-up Defense Position monster to Special Summon 2 Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type monsters, 1 from your hand and 1 from your Graveyard. If you have monsters of the same Level, you can XYZ Summon an XYZ Monster right away, or you can just use your new monsters as protection for your life points.
Masked Dragon is a Level 3 FIRE Dragon-Type monster with 1400 ATK and 1100 DEF that has a good effect. When Masked Dragon is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Deck with 1500 or less ATK in Attack Position. You can Special Summon 1 Level 10 Dragon-Type monster as long as it has 1500 or less ATK.
Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon
Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon is the best Dragon-Type monster in the game and is probably the best monster in the entire game as well. If you have ever seen an Egyptian God Card in the anime, they are immune to card effects. With the new legal God Cards, that won't be an option for the entire duel, but with Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, nothing can target it. Mirror Force, Bottomless Trap Hole, Man-Eater Bug, Lightning Vortex, and Judgment of Anubis will not harm Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. This is similar to Red Nova Dragon, but Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon cannot be targeted by anything, so Spellbinding Circles and Change of Hearts do not work on Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. Better yet, Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon gains 300 ATK for each Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard. Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon is too good to be used in Yugioh, but that's why there's a catch. You must Tribute 1 Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon on your side of the field to Special Summon Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. There are no alternative methods to summon Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, and you still have to get Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon to your side of the field. However, on your side of the field, Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon cannot be beat, so it is well worth every ounce of patience that a duelist has.
Gravi-Crush Dragon is a Level 6 DARK Dragon-Type monster with 2400 ATK and 1200 DEF that allows you to destroy 1 monster on the field at the cost of 1 Continuous Spell Card. Gravi-Crush Dragon works really well with a Crystal Beast Deck since Crystal Beasts become Continuous Spell Cards. Destroy as many monsters on your opponent's side of the field that you want with Gravi-Crush Dragon whose effect can be used more than once per turn.
Tyrant Dragon is a Level 8 FIRE Dragon-Type monster with 2900 ATK and 2500 DEF that is unaffected by Trap Cards, and can attack twice if your opponent has another monster after this card's first attack. Also, those Trap Cards that don't affect Tyrant Dragon are also destroyed, and any Trap Card means any Trap Card. The Trap Card can already be on the field since Tyrant Dragon's effect doesn't say "When a Trap Card is activated..." So, Tyrant Dragon is immune to all Trap Cards, and with 2900 ATK, Tyrant Dragon can defeat many of your opponent's monsters.
Number 17: Leviathan Dragon
Number 17: Leviathan Dragon is a Rank 3 WATER Dragon-Type XYZ Monster with 2000 ATK and 0 DEF that requires 2 Level 3 monsters as the XYZ Materials. Once per turn, you can detach one of these XYZ Materials to give Number 17: Leviathan Dragon a 500 ATK boost, but when Number 17: Leviathan Dragon has no more XYZ Materials, then it cannot attack your opponent's life points directly. So, I recommend only detaching 1 XYZ Material from Number 17: Leviathan Dragon until it really mattered when your opponent plays a monster with 2700 ATK or if you know a direct attack to your opponent won't be coming anytime soon. Number 17: Leviathan Dragon is an easy to play monster that has the potential of having 3000 ATK!
Iron Chain Dragon
Iron Chain Dragon is a Level 6 EARTH Dragon-Type monster with 2500 ATK and 1300 DEF that is all about depleting your opponent's Deck. When Iron Chain Dragon inflicts damage to your opponent, the top 3 cards of your opponent's Deck are instantly sent to the Graveyard. If Iron Chain Dragon inflicts damage to your opponent 3 times, then 9 cards from the top of your opponent's Deck are sent to the Graveyard. Also, you can banish all Iron Chain monsters from your Graveyard to give this card a 200 ATK boost times the number of monsters banished by this effect until the End Phase.
Black-Winged Dragon is a Level 8 DARK Dragon-Type monster with 2800 ATK and 1600 DEF that will prevent you from losing life points from card effects. This is because when your opponent activates a card that will inflict damage to your life points, you can negate the effect of that card by putting 1 Black Feather Counter on this card instead. For each Black Feather Counter on Black-Winged Dragon, it loses 700 ATK. So, 4 Black Feather Counters gives Black-Winged Dragon 0 ATK. However, you can remove every Black Feather Counter from Black-Winged Dragon and select 1 monster that your opponent controls. The selected monster loses 700 ATK times the number of Black Feather Counters removed from Black-Winged Dragon by this effect. As an added bonus, your opponent loses life points equal to how much ATK the targeted monster lost from this effect. So, go ahead and attack the monster that was targeted by Black-Winged Dragon's effect.
Alexandrite Dragon has no effect, but sometimes high quality ATK and a low level can't go unnoticed. Alexandrite Dragon has an incredible 2000 ATK and 100 DEF, but it is only a Level 4 monster, so it can be played from your hand right away! Alexandrite Dragon is definitely not going to beat the monsters with great effects, but Alexandrite Dragon gives you a kind of firepower that can't be offered by any other monster. Any other Level 4 monster with a similar ATK to Alexandrite Dragon often have side effects that are bad such as 0 DEF and being forced to go to Defense Position after the Battle Phase.
Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon
Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon is a Rank 8 Dragon-Type XYZ Monster with 4500 ATK and 3000 DEF that requires 3 Level 8 XYZ Materials. If one of those materials is Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, then the effects of all cards on the field except for Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon are negated. You can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card to detach all XYZ Materials from 1 XYZ Monster of your choice. For each XYZ Monster detached from the targeted monster by this effect, Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon gains 500 ATK which could give it up to 6000 ATK depending on the number of XYZ Materials that were detached from that XYZ Monster.
Bright Star Dragon
Bright Star Dragon is a Level 4 LIGHT Dragon-Type monster with 1900 ATK and 1000 DEF making it a very strong monster. Better yet, when Bright Star Dragon is Normal Summoned, you can select 1 monster on your side of the field and increase its Level by 2 until the End Phase. Either way, Bright Star Dragon is a strong monster that can have a big impact on your Synchro and XYZ Summons.
Ancient Dragon is a Level 4 LIGHT Dragon-Type monster with 1400 ATK and 1300 DEF. When Ancient Dragon inflicts damage to your opponent by a direct attack, then Ancient Dragon gains 500 ATK and its level is increased by 1. These enhancements last for as long as this card remains on the field, so you don't have to worry about losing those benefits. Ancient Dragon gets stronger as Ancient Dragon directly attacks your opponent's life points even more.
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode is a Level 10 Dragon-Type monster with 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of Assault Mode Active. When a card effect is activated, you can Tribute Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode to negate the effect and destroy that card. The effect does not have to destroy any other cards on the field, so even a Change of Heart could be negated. When you negate an effect like this, you can Special Summon this card to your side of the field during the End Phase. If Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode is destroyed (not Tributed) and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon a Stardust Dragon from your Graveyard. Since a Stardust Dragon is required to Special Summon Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode, you will have one in your Graveyard, and that will be a good way to Special Summon a powerful monster.
Dragunity Arma Leyvaten
Dragunity Arma Leyvaten is a Level 8 Dragon-Type monster with 2600 ATK and 1200 DEF that has a great effect with a Dragunity Deck. You can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard by banishing 1 monster equipped with Dragunity card(s). When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, you can select 1 Dragunity card from your Graveyard and equip it to this card. You cannot select another Dragunity Arma Leyvaten to equip to this card, but when this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 of the Dragunity cards equipped to this card.
Felgrand Dragon is a Level 8 monster with 2800 ATK and 2800 DEF that cannot be Special Summoned from anywhere but the Graveyard, and you can only Special Summon this card when this card was on the field first. When Felgrand Dragon is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, you can select 1 monster from your Graveyard. Felgrand Dragon gains 200 ATK times the Level of that monster. If you have a Level 4 monster in your Graveyard, then Felgrand Dragon gains 800 ATK, but if you have a Level 10 monster in your Graveyard, then Felgrand Dragon will gain 2000 ATK.
Lightray Diabolos is a Level 7 monster with 2800 ATK and 1000 DEF that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set, and it can only be Special Summoned from your hand when you have 5 or more LIGHT monsters in your Graveyard with different names. Once per turn, you can banish 1 LIGHT monster in your Graveyard to select 1 Set card that your opponent controls, reveal it, and send it to the top or bottom of your opponent's Deck.
Diabolos King of the Abyss
Diabolos King of the Abyss is a Level 7 monster with 2800 ATK and 1000 DEF that cannot be Special Summoned. The Tributes for this card must be DARK as well. Diabolos King of the Abyss cannot be Tributed by card effects, and during your opponent's Draw Phase, you can look at the top card on their Deck before they draw. You can return that card to the bottom of the Deck if it is really good or back to the top if the card serves no purpose or isn't good.
Gaia The Thunder Charger
Gaia The Thunder Charger is a Rank 7 XYZ Monster with 2600 ATK and 2100 DEF that can be XYZ Summoned with 2 Level 7 monsters as the XYZ Materials or a Rank 5 or 6 XYZ Monster as the XYZ Material (any XYZ Materials of the XYZ Monster used to XYZ Summon this card become XYZ Materials to this card as well). Gaia The Thunder Charger inflicts piercing damage to your opponent, and since Gaia The Thunder Charger does not have a special effect XYZ Material related, you can detach XYZ Materials from this card with cards such as XYZ Effect without thinking of any consequences.
Dragon Master Knight
Dragon Master Knight is the strongest Fusion Monster in the game with 5000 ATK and 5000 DEF. Dragon Master Knight is also a classic Fusion Monster because Black Luster Soldier and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, 2 monsters that commonly appear in the anime, are Fusion Materials of this incredible monster. Dragon Master Knight gains 500 ATK for each Dragon-Type monster you control except this card. Although Dragon Master Knight's effect doesn't include every Dragon-Type monster in either player's Graveyard, Dragon Master Knight still has 5000 ATK, and with DNA Surgery, Dragon Master Knight will be gaining a lot of extra ATK points.
Dark End Dragon
Dark End Dragon is a Level 8 monster with 2600 ATK and 2100 DEF that requires 1 Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuner DARK monsters as the Synchro Materials. Once per turn, you can send 1 monster your opponent controls to the Graveyard. If you do use this effect, Dark End Dragon loses 500 ATK and DEF. You can constantly send monsters your opponent controls to the Graveyard, and once Dark End Dragon gets too weak, you can Tribute it or use it in another Synchro Summon.
Light End Dragon
Light End Dragon is a Level 8 monster with 2600 ATK and 2100 DEF that requires 1 Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuner LIGHT monsters as the Synchro Materials. When this card is battling against another monster, you can have this card permanently lose 500 ATK and DEF to make the attacking monster lose 1500 ATK and DEF until the End Phase. This gives you a 1000 point advantage which is a lot if your opponent's monster is in Attack Position. Just like Dark End Dragon, you can Tribute Light End Dragon, use it for another Synchro Summon, or use it for an XYZ Summon.
Judgment Dragon is a Level 8 monster with 3000 ATK and 2600 DEF that can only be Special Summoned from your hand by having 4 or more Lightsworn monsters with different names in your Graveyard. Judgment Dragon cannot be Summoned or Set through any other methods. By paying 1000 life points, you can destroy all other cards on the field. This gives you an easy direct attack against your opponent, and you can use this effect and then Normal Summon a monster from your hand (if you didn't do so already) before you conduct your Battle Phase. During the End Phase of your turn, you must send the top 4 card on your Deck to the Graveyard. This card must be face-up on your side of the field to activate and resolve this effect. There aren't many Decks that thrive on this effect, but if there is any Deck that thrives on this effect, it is a Lightsworn Deck which is why Judgment Dragon's Summoning conditions involves a lot of Lightsworn monsters.
Koa'Ki Meiru Maximus
Koa'Ki Meiru Maximus is a Level 8 monster with 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Koa'Ki Meiru Maximus can only be Special Summoned by banishing 1 Iron Core of Koa'Ki Meiru from your hand. During each of your End Phases, you must send 1 Iron Core of Koa'Ki Meiru or 1 Koa'Ki Meiru monster from your hand to your Graveyard or else this card will be destroyed. Other than that Koa'Ki Meiru Maximus is a powerful card that has a great effect that allows you to destroy 1 card your opponent controls.
Malefic Rainbow Dragon
Malefic Rainbow Dragon is a Level 10 monster with 4000 ATK and 0 DEF that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Malefic Rainbow Dragon cannot be Special Summoned except by banishing 1 Rainbow Dragon from your hand or Deck. Other monsters you control cannot declare an attack and there can only be 1 face-up Malefic monster on the field at a time. Malefic Rainbow Dragon is automatically destroyed if there is no Field Spell Card on the field. Malefic Rainbow Dragon is a strong monster with 4000 ATK that can do a lot of damage and doesn't require any Tributes on the field in order to be Special Summoned. All you need is a Field Spell Card.
Moon Dragon Quilla
Moon Dragon Quilla is a Level 6 Dragon-Type Synchro Monster with 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF that requires Supay and 1 or more non-Tuner monsters as the Synchro Materials. When Moon Dragon Quilla is attacked, you gain life points equal to half of the attacking monster's ATK. If Moon Dragon Quilla is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 Sun Dragon Inti from your Graveyard. Moon Dragon Quilla has decent ATK and DEF points, allows you to gain life points each time it is attacks, and allows you to Special Summon Sun Dragon Inti once this card is destroyed.
Sun Dragon Inti
Sun Dragon Inti is stronger than its counterpart with 3000 ATK and 2800 DEF. Sun Dragon Inti requires Fire Ant Ascator and 1 or more non-Tuner monsters as the Synchro Materials. When Sun Dragon Inti is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, the monster that destroyed this card is also destroyed. Then your opponent loses life points equal to half of that monster's ATK. If Sun Dragon Inti is destroyed on the field, during the Standby Phase of your next turn, you can Special Summon a Moon Dragon Quilla from your Graveyard. With that, the cycle continues.
Number 92: Heart-eARTH Dragon
Number 92: Heart-eARTH Dragon is a Rank 9 XYZ Monster with 0 ATK and 0 DEF that requires 3 Level 9 monsters as the XYZ Materials. Number 92: Heart-eARTH Dragon cannot be destroyed by battle, and your opponent takes all Battle Damage from battles involving this card. During your opponent's End Phase, you can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card to banish all of your opponent's monsters that were Normal Summoned, Special Summoned, or Set this turn. If Number 92: Heart-eARTH Dragon is destroyed while it has an XYZ Material attached to it, you can Special Summon Number 92: Heart-eARTH Dragon to your side of the field. Then Number 92: Heart-eARTH Dragon gains 1000 ATK times the number of cards that are currently banished.
White Night Dragon
White Night Dragon is a Level 8 monster with 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF. During either player's turn, when a Spell/Trap Card that targets this card is activated, the activation of that card is negated, and if the activation is negated, then the card is destroyed as well. When a face-up monster you control is targeted for an attack, you can send 1 Spell/Trap Card you control to the Graveyard to change the target to this card. If an opponent's monster with 1500 ATK attacks one of your monsters that has 1200 ATK, you can change the target of the attack to this card. Instead of losing 300 life points and a monster, your opponent loses 1500 life points and a monster.
