1.Dark Chocolate

Yeah, you read that well.Dark chocolate can actually help you lose weight!I started this list with chocolate deliberately because one might think that losing weight implies eating only foods that aren't very tasty.Dark chocolate contains antioxidants- 1-2 pieces of this sweet craving a day will boost your cardiovascular system just as a glass of red wine would do.Furthermore,it is a very nourishing food that can help you eat less during the day.Beware, though!Eating more than a few pieces can have negative effects on your diet.

For a lot of time, eggs have been considered detrimental to those with high cholesterol levels. However, recent research shows that eggs do not have a substantial impact on body fat and do not cause cardiovascular diseases.Rich in protein and very nourishing, eggs are a perfect breakfast. You should eat them boiled, not fried,in order to reduce lipid consumption.

3.Cruciferous Vegetables

Cruciferous vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and brussels sprouts.Very low on calories, these weight loss superfoods are rich in fibers and vitamins, take time to digest and bring a reasonable intake of proteins. They are also great for cancer prevention!

Fish fats are good fats-It's as simple as that. They are great cardiovascular enhancers and maintain your blood vessel's elasticity.Salmon is beneficial to your health. If consumed in decent quantities it can help you lose weight as it greatly reduces hunger.Salmon also helps metabolical processes by balancing your thyroid gland secretion.

Cheap, nourishing and versatile, legumes are ideal for weight loss. They are rich in protein and fibers and are, thus, digested slowly, making you feel full and eat less.Any legume would do-peas,beans,lentils,soy etc.

6.Cow's Cheese

Usually, dairy products are not compatible with weight loss diets unless, they are low-fat.The number one low-fat dairy product is cow's cheese-containing a few calories,a lot of protein and only a small dose of carbohydrates and lipids. It also gives you a feeling of satiety, making you eat less and can be served as a delicious dessert with a tablespoon of honey.

Almonds are rich in Vitamin E,essential to your skin's health. They are rich in fibres and are a perfect snack.Replace caloric-bomb snacks such as crisps and crackers with almonds and your body will be grateful to you!

8.Hot Pepper

There are many drastic diets based only on the consumption of hot peppers. However, there is no need for you to diet this way in order to lose a few kilograms. If you do not have any stomach conditions just add hot peppers to your menu from time to time.Hot peppers contain capsaicin,a substance that reduces your apetite and boosts your metabolism, helping you lose weight.

Avocado is a great vegetal alternative to butter.Avocado is full of monounsaturated fatty acids, similar to those found in olive oil.Even though they contain a pretty high amount of calories for a fruit, you should add a bit of avocado to your salads as healthy fats found in it help vitamin absorption.A few slices of avocado will make you feel full and boost your energy for many hours.

Grapefruit is one of the most efficient weight loss foods and is also used as a holistic remedy for high cholesterol.A nutritional study shows that people who ate half a grapefruit before each meal lost about 1,5 kg in 12 weeks without changing their former diet or lifestyle. You should definitely give it a try!

Thanks Lee!Glad you find it useful-I had a very difficult time losing weight during my early teens and I had all sorts of eating disorders such as bulimia and binge eating but all that passed away when I started organising the way I eat rigurously and started leading a healthy lifestyle.I will publish weight maintenance and weight loss related hubs from time to time.I enjoy researching and writing about such topics.
