Updated on May 23, 2020

Losing weight is not an easy task, too frequent we think about losing weight on a daily basis as an unachievable objective, so we tried to do some research on how to properly execute some of the methods found on the internet or some sources from the book, but still, it seems it doesn’t work. Even though we already tried some of the diets and exercises, no result has shown much, and what we usually do is to throw in the towel. But normally people didn’t lose weight successfully is due to the inconsistency of their diet plan, workout routine, and the false methods that they used. Be honest, losing weight is not easy as it sounds, most of us hate what we are doing and I get that, I experienced personally when I was young, it’s tiring and it’s too much to bear. But what I found out about losing weight is not to give any excuses, excuses keep us slow in maturing our character, it’s a hindrance to our objective, therefore, we must cultivate a right mind first before adding any value next in our weight loss plan. What I meant about right mind, is to have a reality check, we always think that losing weight has a shortcut, quite the opposite, there’s no such thing as a shortcut, unless if you join any weight loss management clinic that costs you thousands of dollars. But in weight loss, we don’t want to spend unnecessary money, we can do it in a low-cost weight loss plan, which is more natural and healthy, plus, weight loss routine which I about to show you will help you to cultivate a habit to consistently doing weight loss routine. Remember to have a right mind first, this is your primary step so that you can move on to level 2, which is the steps that I’m going to show you on the tips to lose weight effectively and safely, even if you are a beginner with no weight loss experience!

But first, you need to know the 2 basic tips before you begin this weight loss challenge:

1) Be Motivated

It’s hard to stay motivated, as some of the diet plans or exercises seem ineffective. You might encounter your weight loss doesn’t go anywhere at all, to be honest, with the temptation of craving more delicious meals and snacks, it will only double up your weight. Plus, sometimes we have to be patient, doing few days, weeks or months of weight loss routine won’t make any big difference, we often think that weight loss is an onetime thing, to quite the contrary, it’s a life long journey. Find someone in your community that can be trusted to keep you right on track, so that you will be encouraged and stayed focus on your weight loss journey.

2) Have a Realistic Goal

It’s good to have your very own goal. Not to mention, setting yourself a goal will keep you right on the track. But be careful not to have high hope in your weight loss, for example, you might be thinking to do a few diets or exercises in 1 month will shed a great amount of weight, which will be quite unrealistic. Try to set yourself a week half a pound, not only it’s achievable, but also healthy.

Now for the main course, these 2 tips that I’m going to give you will guarantee to achieve your ideal weight as a beginner:

1) Be Careful What You Eat

The food that you consume every day plays an important role in keeping your weight in check. The calories that you consume will determine your weight and shape, the best way is to keep track of your calorie intake. Usually, an average for women is 2,000 calories in a day, and men are 2,500 a day, so make sure you do not exceed your calorie intake. You should also check the food label in the grocery store, in order to ensure the calorie that you consume in the right proportion. You should also be aware to check your sodium intake, sodium will cause water retention so that the weight will stick on your body. In order to lose weight, you must abstain from consuming high sodium foods, such as canned meat, bacon, ham, sausages, sardines, pizza, and salted nut.

People might be thinking, skipping a meal or two will helps them to lose weight faster, it will but it’s very unhealthy. You might cut down your calorie intake, but skipping a meal is a big no, you should take note that when a person skips a meal, your body will be informed of your starvation, thus having a tendency to experiencing weight gain. Meals are important and it’s essential for your weight loss too, try to separate your meal into 5 or 6 small meals a day, that should keep your starvation on the check, plus, you will stay energized for the whole day. Don’t forget to reward yourself with sumptuous food once a week as a complement to your achievement.

2) The Right Amount of Workout

As a beginner, it’s a hard challenge, to be honest. I went through some workouts training or exercises that might help me to lose weight, but it’s just too difficult. So as a beginner, you must be expecting some intense training, as a beginner, your workout or exercise has to be mild. You can start something simple like brisk walking for 20 minutes a day, you might include jogging or swimming in your routine as well. The reason to do all these is to help you to stay active and building up your metabolism. If you have done all these after a few days and you feel like you can enter into the next stage of full-body exercises, such as squats, dead-lift, burpees, push-ups, sit-ups, and more. Do all these in 1 set of 10 or 30 seconds per set, 3 times a week. If you want to add more sets, go ahead as long as you are comfortable with it.

You might also begin hitting the gym once in a while, when I was a beginner, I go to the gym once a week during the weekend. Normally as a beginner, you shouldn’t force yourself to lift heavyweight, try lifting a few kilos of weight like 1 or 2. Hitting the gym not only will help you to lose weight but at the same time, it helps you to increase your muscle mass, the muscle will help you to cover the fats that are revealing. The gym includes many types of muscle building tools like dumbbell and barbell, so try making progress by using those. Once you have muscle, you are able to burn fats even faster, for each pound of your muscle mass, it helps you to burn 35-50 calories a day, compare to 2 calories per pound of fat a day. In conclusion, the more muscle you develop, the higher your metabolic rate is. Try doing all these workout or exercise regularly for 21 days, you will be surprised that you developed a habit of craving to do the workout, and be sure to keep yourself hydrated throughout your daily routine.

Conclusion

Well, this concludes my tips to you, I hope that you use these tips given by taking an action to make a commitment to yourself, as losing weight is a great way of building yourself confidently. These tips are only the basic and it sure does makes a difference in your daily life, most important, you might want to follow it strictly, as these tips are given may help you to cultivate a habit of consistency in your weight loss plan, and it may get your metabolism going so that you can burn even more pounds of fat.
