You may have heard it before, but you really should be eating smaller meals every day.

If you eat six small meals a day, instead of 3 large meals, you can help boost your metabolism.

And a boosted metabolism is the fastest way to lose weight.

You don’t want your metabolism to slow down because it has to wait for your next feast.

Keep your body fueled with healthy meals consistently and you’ll never feel hungry and your body will be running at its full capacity at all times.

There’s also another way you can boost your metabolism.

Hit The Weights

If you want to lose weight quickly then doing workouts that only include cardio probably isn’t your best bet.

You want to add weight training to your workouts because muscle actually burns more calories than fat does, even if you’re resting!

And ladies, don’t worry about “bulking up”… unless you’re using some kind of illegal substance then you will never become bulky from weightlifting.

As an added bonus, weightlifting will also help make your bones stronger.

But you need to make sure that you’ve set a realistic goal.

Focus On Your Body As A Whole

It would be great if you could point to one spot on your body and melt the fat just from that area with a specialized workout, but you can’t!

Think of your body fat as one solid layer that’s really thin in some areas and thicker in others.

When you burn fat your body burns it from the whole layer.

So if you want to lose fat from your stomach, hips or some other random area then you need to focus on a total body workout, not just that specific area.

If you set up a total body approach that includes interval training, 6 small meals a day and weight training then you WILL eventually lose the fat from that problem area.

If you keep your metabolism fueled by frequently eating and hitting the weights then you’ll speed up the fat burning process for your whole body, including your problem areas.       Yes SilentReed, your body type can play a factor in how fast you'll lose fat but you shouldn't let that discourage you from reaching your goal. It may take more determination for some but we all can boost our metabolism and shed the fat!
