Constipation generally signifies that you have had one or less bowel movements in a normal day. This may happen when you have just altered your diet from junk food to healthy food. Your body must adapt to the different food habits, so you must give your body some time to adjust to it.

Dehydration is another usual cause for constipation. If you do not drink adequate amount of water every day, you will definitely have trouble with your colon as it will be not be able to push the waste out.

The bad thing about being constipated is that, the terrible stuff that your body naturally gets rid of normally, now retains in side you. This can result in uneasiness, weakness, and also weight gain. This condition is similar to an accumulation of poison inside you: it can lead to problems if you leave it to long.

Curing constipation is the first step towards losing weight naturally. So is there anything that you can do to correct the situation when you are constipated? I have some healthy and natural remedies for this.

1. Drink a lot of water. Try to drink at least half of your body’s weight in ounces of water. For example if your weight is 230 lbs, you must drink at least 115 ounces of water every day.

2. Use flaxseed as an additive to your meals. You can add a tablespoon of it with your food to give you more fiber (to help bowel movement) and Omega 3s as well.

3. Raw food is vital. That is why you must eat one fresh fruit or raw vegetables everyday. Your body will naturally benefit from the natural ingredients in raw foods that are normally lost once they are cooked.

4. Start your day with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Add some Cayenne after mixing it with water. This combination will encourage your bowel movement and help to clear out your colon.
