4 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Wait to Follow Your Dreams
Is there something you have always wanted to do, but never made the time for it? Have you dreamed of the perfect career nearly your whole life, but never could quite seem to make yourself take that leap of faith?
Following the dream of your heart is something that should never be denied. In doing so, you will lose part of yourself every day. You will live your entire life wondering about what might have been, if only you’d tried harder. Here are four reasons why you can’t afford to wait any longer to follow after your dreams.
Reason #1: You could die young.
That sounds harsh, but it holds great weight. People all over the world die at young ages. Their lives are snatched away from them before they have a chance to do everything they’ve dreamed of.
You are no different. Your life could end today. If it did, could your loved ones say that you did everything you wanted to do with your life? Have you lived it to its fullest? Do you give it everything you’ve got, and then some?
Reason #2: You are paving the way for your children.
Whether you want to believe it or not, your children watch every move you make. Your actions create reactions through them. The way you live teaches them how they should live. It doesn’t matter what you tell them, it’s your actions that are proof to them of how to live.
Reason #3: Your happiness could depend on it.
Have you lived your life up to this point relatively content, but still feel like there’s something missing? Giving up on a personal dream can be a lot like losing a baby. You feel an empty place inside. You know there is something more out there for you, if only you’d be brave enough to reach for it. True happiness sometimes lies in knowing that you’ve given your best, even if you don’t succeed.
Reason #4: You owe it to yourself.
Most importantly, you owe it to yourself to follow after your dreams. If you have put your ambitions on the back burner, it is time to stop denying yourself the possibility of reaching your full potential. Go for it!
