MY 4 TOP FOODS RECOMMENDED FOR A HEALTHY GUT

There is no disputing that you are what you eat, and what you take in determines how healthy you will be in achieving an overall success in life. We all need food to survive but most importantly to stay healthy, as an healthy gut or intestines gives a healthy body. Here are 4 foods that keep your gut alive:

1. Probiotics- These fermented foods act by promoting the growth of beneficial microorganisms inside of you, microorganisms by research having been shown to constitute more than 10 times the normak number of body cells. The body of microorganisms inside the body is called the "gut microbiota" owing to the fact that digesion takes place in the intestines or gut where most of these beneficial microorganisms are found. Fermented foods like yoghurt, cheese, and pap commin to Africans, contain a genus of microorganism called Lactobacillus, a lactose fermenter which helps in bowel movement, relieving constipation, aiding digestion and assimiliation, and strengthens the immune system for a healthy living

2. Fruits- Remember the popular saying that an apple a day keeps the doctor away? Well it is not just an ordinary saying, researches have shown that an apple contains vital nutrients which keep you healthy. An apple is just one of those fruits which can do the job, as fruits contain antioxidants inhibiting the growth of harmful radicals that caus serious health issues like cancer. In fact, recent researches have linked a healthy gut to a better brain function and memory, as fruits also activate neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, which improves relaxation, concentration and comprehension. The best way to get the full benefits from eating fruits is a principle I practise to guide me which is my 4 Fs(Fruit First, Food Follows), especially in the morning to keep my whole day full of vitality

3. Vegetables- We cannot argue the fact that vegetables especially the green leafy ones, contribute a lot to being healthy. These green plants contain a compound called chlorophyll, which is full of extremely beneficial components that promote an healthy gut when these vegetables are eaten, ranging from improving digestion to fighting against cancerous cells. Did you know that carrots are vegetables and not fruits? This non-green vegetable tremendously improve digestion, even toning out the complexion . The powerful action of a vegetable is best when it is eaten raw

4. Water- Surprised? Of course water is a class of food. It is part of your daily diet and it is a good detoxifying agent that cleanses your internal organs, gets rid of undigested and unhealthy substances from your gut. Just like a dirty and overly stuffed room needs decongestion for easy access and wellbeing, your gut needs needs constant cleaning for optimum functioning. This is achieved bu water, and it works by the principle of dilution of toxic substances to less toxic or non-toxic ones, and later passed out of the body. It improves fitness and gives a healthy body

On a final note, try to incorporate all these into a balanced daily diet and see how they work wonders. Prepare your kids for a brighter future!
