Five Tips for sleeping better naturally

When you don't get enough sleep you are tired and irritable. Let's face it nobody wants to be around someone who is cranky all the time. So I will give you five important tips for having a good night's sleep without using medications.

Here's the five tips:

Tip 1.) GET MOVING! Exercise will get you energized and rev-ed up for the day. You'll be sending out so much energy that by bedtime you'll be ready to rest your tired bones.

Tip 2.) HAVE A SCHEDULED BEDTIME! Schedule a set time to go to bed and wake up and make it a routine. This helps set your internal clock. You're body will thank you.

Tip 3.) CHANGE YOUR DIET! Drinking caffeine (sodas, certain teas, coffee) before bed will rev you up but make you have a crash and burn later. If you drink caffeine before bed you will have trouble sleeping. Spicy and heavy foods will keep you awake as well.

Tip 4.) DON'T SMOKE! You can have a nighttime withdrawal from the nicotine and that will keep you up. Smoking can also create breathing problems like sleep apnea that will disturb your beauty sleep.

Tip 5.) BE AWARE OF ROOM TEMPERATURE! Keep your bedroom between 54-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Keeping your room too hot or too cold will keep you awake and tired in the morning.

These tips will help you sleep better and sleeping better will help you live your life better. You'll live better by being more alert and feeling well rested to get through your day with a smile instead of a frown.
