A Poem about Depression.
Depression
I looked in the mirror
and what did I see?
It was more than my reflection
It was my identity.
As I looked at this person
I felt a sadness in my heart.
The pain and the anguish
of a life that slowly fell apart.
The soul deep inside of me
has died and gone away.
All that is left of me
is a body of decay.
I felt no love, no joy, just tears
I was alone in a world
where no one cares.
Each day I wonder how soon it will be
before this sickness will set me free.
