A simple Ode to Our Friend Lawrence Hebb
A Danged Fine Man
Most of do not know New Zealand most have never been there, although I was blessed to many many years ago. A land of good folks we should call friends for their peace seems never to end. Lawrence has brought us from near and other like a light like a brother.
New Zealand a place of harmony and good graces
It brings us home like all of our special places
Land of forests made for some kind of excellence
A place created out eternal brotherly benevolents
We do not know when tragedy strikes but we must act as what is right
So we pray this horrible horrible night
Let there be ease a pain not so great
Let there be medical teams to help mitigate
Bless the men and women of first responders
Let us not even their bravery we ever ponder
Fire into the air and sea into all for heaven to see.
Please let comfort on this great land for there to be
We cannot know the pain they must suffer
But yes our intentions and prayers we may offer
Look not here for we will not know the pain
But in our love maybe others down there may gain
Especially thoughts of goodness and praise
Up to Lawrence these we raise
My son and I offered up a dance
That so many were given a chance
But in prayer we kneeled to do cry
For those who perished and we know not why
These tragadies happen beyond our possible scope
But our friends are safe we can always hope
Momma wrote back “Is your friend okay?”
I think his family is safe for today
So in our we pray for Lawrence and his family fine
Like in our family that does just fine
