I am a writer, an author, speaker. I talk about overcoming anxiety and depression, developing a confident mindset, and awakening.

Life can be a roller-coaster of feelings and emotions, and sometimes we do not know how to handle them. Getting to be able to take control of your own life and create a better you, are one of the best feelings in the world. Sometimes life throws curveballs at you, and you may feel lost or unhappy with the way things are going. I am here to tell you some fantastic ways of taking control of your life and seeing the more positive side of the world and keeping your depression and anxiety at an all-time low.

Finding a Better You

We can all be harsh to one another and even ourselves, which creates sad or even angry feelings to emerge. Getting the opportunity to avoid unflattering thoughts or feelings can set more positive vibes that others can catch ahold of. Keeping a positive mindset is key to keeping your feelings in check as well as making yourself happier over time. Some may think that you are being selfish if you dedicate so much time to yourself, but you cannot love another person unless you love yourself first. Once you can create a strong loving bond with yourself, you will realize how much good can come out of the process.

Steps to Alleviate Stress and Depression

When it comes to stress and depression these feelings can feel like they go on forever, and there is no way to get out of it. I am here to tell you that you can get out of it only if you want to. If you are in one of these states, sometimes you will hold on to these feelings and do not want to let them go even if you are telling yourself to get better. The best thing you can do to rid of these stressors is by putting your attention towards something you care about. Maybe at the moment, it does not sound pleasing but eventually, you will start thinking more and more about your cares and what you are profoundly grateful for. If you are into exercise, an excellent way to help you find yourself is through yoga or any other exercise you are interested in. Listening to music that brightens your spirits up is also a fantastic way of bringing you more happiness. Aim for positive music rather than music that might keep you in the state you are in. Mindfulness is one of the best ways to overcome anxiety and depression because it is leading you on the path to finding yourself and can help you to achieve the mindset you are looking for.

Building Your Best Life

Dreams and goals are especially important for building your best life. If your stress or depression is holding you back from your dreams, then it is time for you to take a step in the right direction so you can accomplish your goals. Losing all your dreams and goals is very scary and can seem daunting at the time, but as long as your here you still can do great things. If you cannot think of a goal at the moment, then start small and you will soon find more and more things you want to do in your life. It is always best to be a realist when it comes to what you want to accomplish. Picture yourself accomplishing your goals, and soon you will be doing just that.

Stay True to Yourself

At times we may not like who we are or what we think we have become due to anxiety and depression. Thinking this way will only create more negative experiences for you, and you will continue to feel bad about yourself. As humans we all make mistakes, and it is best to understand that and try our best to create a more positive situation. Try focusing on things you are truly passionate about or have an opinion on. This helps to bring about the things you cherish in your life and adds another part to your story. Still listen to your heart and make judgments based on your thoughts and beliefs. Never allow anyone to control you or change who you are. The best way to stay true to yourself is by taking care of yourself and allowing yourself to find happiness.

Becoming Awakened

Awakening can come in many different forms depending on your experiences and what you believe is true. For many people becoming awakened is realizing they no longer want to be in the state they are in, so they decide to build a life they dreamed of and continue to strive for their goals. For others it may be getting out of an old relationship, starting a new career, or even finding yourself. Ways to help you become awakened is by writing down your goals or making a checklist on what your plans are for each day. Doing this allows you to take a step toward what you want and get it done. Another way is to listen to positive affirmations, inspirational speeches, or use guided meditation. These are all ways of becoming awakened and allowing yourself to become the best you.

Creating A Positive Mindset

Having your thoughts and feelings positive and kind truly helps you as a person to become more positive and kinder. Ways you can do this is by saying something good and true that you like about yourself. Doing this allows you to appreciate who you are and gives a sense of love to your day. After saying a positive thing about yourself, think about the people you care about or people you work with, If you can think of positive things about all these people, that will allow you to find good in all people and can create an ambiance of love around you. Another great way to keep a positive mindset is by partaking in a hobby you enjoy or hanging out with a close friend or relative.

If you use these techniques when feeling depressed or anxious, you can overcome many obstacles in your life, and you will have a better understanding of who you are and what you can do. You can do amazing things, and all it takes is just the right mindset and a step in the right direction.
