Banana is the gift of nature and holds the peak position among other fruits owing to its nutrient value. It is one of the richest sources of carbohydrates, starch and fructose. It is a good source of minerals such as iron, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, copper, calcium, sulphur etc. and vitamins such as vitamin A, C, D, E, riboflavin and niacin. It has got a high calorific value of about 200 per fruit.

3. If you are trying to keep you young, then you can take a banana every day, will give you a fresh, shining skin (don’t run for fairness creams and oils!), as it has got a wonderful effect just like a soup to nourish your wrinkled skin and delay the ageing process to a great extent.

4. It is an excellent tonic for your intestine and kidneys and plays a remarkable role in both absorption and waste filtering processes.

5. Banana is recommended for strengthening your teeth and eyes as it contains vitamin A and calcium.

6. It restores energy and should be taken by those who are recovering from diseases caused by malnutrition.

7. Since banana is a supplier of iron, it can be taken for curing anaemia. It will reduce the acidity of blood also.

8. Besides these, it acts as an energy-reserve in your diet and enriches your body and improves your health.
