Banana is the gift of nature and holds the peak position among other fruits owing to its nutrient value. It is one of the richest sources of carbohydrates, starch and fructose. It is a good source of minerals such as iron, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, copper, calcium, sulphur etc. and vitamins such as vitamin A, C, D, E, riboflavin and niacin.
