Bat Soup Corunavirus From China Spreads Worldwide
With 25 dead and over 600 infected, the World Health Organization has sounded the alarm to produce a vaccine. It is feared that this new airborne virus could be as deadly as the Spanish Flu that killed millions. At ground zero, Wuhan, China, the city is on lockdown and two other cities are also. Wuhan has a population of 11 million. Flights into and out of Wuhan have been curtailed and in the USA, key entry points are also on the watch for suspected carriers of the virus.
The new virus is attracted to the human protein and it mutates 100 times faster than other airborne viruses and small pox. This virus is hard to detect because it first appears like the common flu and cold. However, if it spreads to the lungs, it causes lesions and breathing is compromised.
Symptoms include:
- Runny nose
- Headache
- Cough
- Fever
- Shortness of breath
- Chills
This virus in incredibly contagious and spreads through contact with anything the virus is on, infected breath or sneezes. Once it spreads to the lungs, pneumonia ensues. This can cause death to those with compromised immune systems or with heart disease. Travelers from China are being isolated at Heathrow airport, UK.
Because of the contagion, some experts see it spreading across the globe and two deaths will occur for every 100 infected and up to 10,000 infected.
