Everybody wants a flat stomach and there are two areas you can work on to achieve this, Firstly you can attack your diet and give it a shake up, and secondly you can use specific exercises to target your core strength and stomach muscles.I will be talking about the exercises and how to achieve results fast.
Obviously these exercises will need to be combined with a sensible diet and a bit of perseverance, as these exercises will not achieve results on their own, but with a low fat low calorie diet and working out three to four times a week you should get results and start to see a difference in as little as 4-6 weeks.
The first thing to do is cardio, cardio, cardio, there is no point in doing ab crunches untill your sick as if your abs are covered by a layer of fat then they may feel hard but your never going to see them until you have burnt that fat off.
I find that some of the best fat burners are swimming for at least half an hour each session,rowing machines,cycling and running.With cycling and running you need to be doing it constantly for at least 20 Min's before you start to burn the excess calories.If you can squeeze in 3-4 1hr sessions a week and reduce the amount of calories you are in taking then you are well on your way.The recommended calorie intake for women to maintain body weight is 2000, i would suggest dropping it to 1500 calories and combined with the exercise should see results.
Interval training is supposed to be much better at burning calories than regular training.
A simple routine would be as follows :Jog for 4mins as a warm up
Sprint for 2mins
Jog for 4mins
Sprint for 2mins
and so on,This kind of training is supposed to burn far more calories then conventional training and can be adapted to virtually anything such as cycling running on treadmill rowing or elliptical trainer.
