Bring It: P90X Day 89
P90X, created by Tony Horton, is extreme. It is tough to the core. If you don't believe me, ask anybody who has embarked on this journey. Or better yet, try it for yourself. The program consists of 12 DVDs. These DVDs range from strenth training, cardio, yoga and stretching. Some of the workouts you will hate; some of the workouts you will love. Each person is different, but one thing will hold true. Each person will undergo a transformation from Day 1 to Day 90. Not just a physical transformation, but a mental one as well.
P90X works on the basis of muscle confusion. You must show up and you must give it 110%; Tony Horton will provide the variety and the motivation through his instruction. If you are looking for additional support, you can also sign up for the Beach Body website were you can talk to others going through their very own personal journeys.

Feel free to leave your comments below. The story and the information is just the beginning. Together we can inspire and motivate others to get on their very own personal health kick. It isn't too late to start!
Bring It
Today was Core Synergistics. Frankly, I loathe this DVD. Don't get me wrong, it has great potential for those who are strong enough. For me, my abdominal area is the weakest due to a previous surgery that cut through my abdominal muscles back in 2000. While they have long been healed, they still aren't ever going to return to the way they used to be. Therefore, core work, while very important, is very difficult to me.
Core Synergistics is only used during recovery weeks. This is the third and final recovery week for my personal journey with P90X. Unfortunately for me, Core Synergistics is also done twice during each recovery week. So this week I have felt double tortured trying to get through this program.
Yet, I am not going to let my weak core muscles hold me back. I was giving it my all, even if it killed me. And we all know the saying, "Whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!" Well, I survived again. I did the whole workout to the best of my ability. I am hurting. But what better way to say goodbye to P90X. I am going out sore and stronger than I was at the beginning. I am getting better at the workout, even though it is still difficult for me to do.
Overall, what can I say, I am really thankful that I have Core Synergistics knocked out of the way!
It's the Final Countdown
Almost there....
Standing at Day 1, it was hard to imagine that before I knew it I would be closing in on Day 90. It has been a long, tiring journey, but it has been well worth it every step of the way. I have had my good days; I have also had my bad days. I have pushed through workouts when I was feeling at the top of my game and I have pushed through workouts with head colds and kids underfoot. If anything, I can't say the last few months haven't been entertaining. I mixed my workouts into life, and sometimes that can be really difficult to do.
Through it all though, I have used Hubpages as a portal to not only document my journey, but as a means to gain a support system. These people have been reading my adventures and rooting me on from all over. I don't think that I would have been nearly as successful if it wasn't for those pushes. On days when I was beating myself up, they were telling me it was ok. So, for that, I have to give you what is owed... a big Thank You. I have tried this program in the past and didn't even make it through 2 weeks. I think the difference has been all of you standing behind me and pushing me ahead. Because of that, I truly am at the final countdown for P90X!
So many changes... one little box
The Bring It Journey
I published my very first "Bring It" hub on Oct. 3, 2011. At that time, I thought I would just do a quick review of the P90X program. I didn't intend on writing about my journey everyday. In fact, I was going to do it the first week (since all the workouts were different) and then start again when the workouts changed. Yet, instead, I recieved so much awesome feedback that I continued writing about it every single day.
To date (Dec. 30,2011), The P90X series has been read 4,665 times and has recieved 1,079 comments. Now that is an average of 53 visits per hub (remember Day 89 and Day 90 are not included in these statistics) and about 12 comments per hub. Truly, this is a drop in the hat compared to some of my other hubs, but I knew that going in. P90X is not something everyone is going to be interested in; it fits in a very particular niche. So, not only does it take a lot of dedication to write something everyday, but it takes a lot of dedication for those who have continually shown up and commented.
A Special Shout Out!
There have been so many people who have really backed me on this journey. These people have pushed me harder than I ever thought possible and they deserve a special shout out! They have been my rock, through thick and thin!
Mythicalstorm273 - To those who don't already know this, Myth is my sister. She had been faithfully reading my hubs long ago but one day I finally convinced her to take the plunge as well. She is by far my biggest supporter even though she lives more than 2,000 miles away! You see, we started this journey together back in March 2011. We are both standing up for our other sister's wedding and we wanted to get into shape and look good for the wedding. So we made goals and we brought about this friendly competition to see who could get closer to their goals by the time our sister gets married this February. P90X was literally my way of cheating (wink, wink). I had been trying and trying to lose weight and just change for a long time and nothing seemed to be working. Well, P90X was the answer. Not only has she been pushing me along with some friendly competition, but she has also stopped by to read and comment on each and every single hub. Now that is dedication. Thank you for being my rock and pushing me to succeed... even if that means I might beat you in the end! (Wink Wink)
RealHousewife - Chances are good that if you know who I am, you already know RealHousewife. If not, look down through anything I have written and chances are she has paid a visit. She is the real deal, and when it comes to support... well... let's just say she Keeps It Real and gives 200% at all times! She has been a great motivating factor for me. She has made me laugh, she has listened to me rant on days that I have a hard time keeping my cool. She has been there for this entire journey. I can't thank her enough for how much she keeps me going!
Moviedude31 - This is my husband. I begged him to open up a Hubpages account so he could leave comments on my hubs. He did and he even wrote a couple of hubs himself. When it has come to my personal journey with P90X, he has been working through most of it. He has commented on a few of my P90X hubs (but I tease him that it was purely peer pressure that he did), but for the most part, he is constantly pushing me to push myself daily. He gets to live my transformation. I know he is proud of me... even if he doesn't read this! :)
Soldieringon - This is a close family friend. In fact, he only lives a few blocks away from us. He has seen the transformation taking place as well. In fact, I know he is impressed because now he wants to start his own journey. Thanks for the support!
Danette Watt - She has been a familiar face along my journey. As a fellow health nut, she was always there for some useful information. What can I say... thanks for the push! People like you kept me going!
Daffy Duck - This fellow hubber has been there time and time again to give me an extra shove, tidbits of advice, and of course the occasional humor. When I was feeling low on myself, I knew I could count on Daffy Duck to show up and snap me out of it! Thanks for your continued support. I really do appreciate it!
TheManWithNoPants - AKA Jim... Anybody knows that a man that doesn't wear pants has got to be up on his fitness. He has taken a liking to seeing me get into shape, since he has told me many times that he is a fan of a good, hard workout! He is never short of a motivational phrase to keep me going! We truly are... workout buddies. Thanks Jim!
Lapse - This guy here is a great supporter. Not only did he dig into some of my older hubs, but he religiously came buy to give me a shout out. Never was he short on humor or support! Because of this, I have to give him credit were credit is due. Thanks for being such a great stalker!

Thank You everybody
I tried my best to thank everybody who has stopped by and helped along my journey. For those of you that commented, you really helped me out and kept my motivation up. For those that visited and stayed silent, I thank you for stopping by.
I hope somewhere in this series you have found motivation and maybe even a little inspiration. But most importantly, I hope you found some useful information and a few laughs along the way. Thanks for being a part of my journey!
