Choose To Live In The Moment
Life is full of hurried moments. We rush from one even to another, filling our calendars with more and more things to fill the time. All too often we forget to simply stop and relish the moment we are in right now.
Do you find yourself wishing you could just run away and hide sometimes? This should be a huge wake-up call for you. It’s time to slow down and learn how to live in the moment, right now.
Un-schedule your day.
One of the easiest things you can do is just clear your schedule for one day. You might think you can’t do it, but you can. Give yourself a break from all the things you would normally run around to do and just relax.
Breathe.
Believe it or not, just by slowing down your breathing, you can become much more relaxed and calmer. Taking slow, deep breaths will enable you to find an inner stillness that you normally wouldn’t experience.
Don’t fret over little things.
It’s easy to become overwhelmed with all the little things in life. From messy rooms and piles of laundry to rush hour and crowded stores, the hustle of daily life can quickly become overpowering. Don’t sit and fume over someone cutting you off or your kids not cleaning their bedrooms. Learn to take it all in stride.
Focus on what’s important.
The best thing you can do to live in the moment is to concentrate only on what is truly important to you. Define your priorities and live accordingly. When you can do this, you will learn to catch and release and only hold on to the good things in life.
Learning to live in the moment is something many people live their entire lives without knowing how to do. Don’t let your life overwhelm you. Take it one moment at a time.
