Dedication to Uncle Boot
Memories
Boot Tune
First, there went Uncle Ben,
Then, Mommy took God’s Hand.
But I still had you,
My uncle, my protector, my source for strength.
The pain seems endless.
Unbearable as these days, hours, minutes, and seconds grow in length.
The talks we had as I drove you all around Bennettsville.
The laughs we shared.
Watching you and Mary Louise chew tobacco in the backyard.
I thought now that’s really dad’s little girl, you two were quite the pair.
You had our backs and we had yours.
This partly is why this is so hard.
As I think about how you, Ashley, Annette, Mommy, Uncle Ben, and I loved to watch wrestling.
You, Ashley, Annette, and I would love to go into your room on Saturday nights for paper view.
With your two black and white TV’s, one for sound, one for picture.
You were truly a evolutionary thinker and you could make something out of anything.
You will always be the duct-tape king!
I’m going to miss hearing your daily news report on everything current.
Your eyes would light up as you looked on face book, and saw pictures of your kids, grandkids, etc.
Maria doing your hair and your laughter erupts as she says something you can’t believe.
I will never forget how you could play that guitar!
The sky was the limit and oh Uncle, how you soared!
You never met a person that you didn’t help and in the end they called you Uncle Boot.
You were what an Uncle should be.
I’m going to miss my gun slinging, TBN listening, country music radio listening, wealth of knowledge, and ball of energy in the form of Boot.
You and Mommy gave me our family history.
I want to say thank you for that.
Mommy would know something and you would always have the missing piece of the puzzle, thank you!
Going to miss hearing Chason and Liyah around the house, won’t be the same!
But Finally, you will be greeted, Oh Charlie Boy!
Welcome Home! By Mommy, Uncle Ben, Ma, Grandma, Uncle Robert, David, Minnie Mae, and Grandpa!
Good-bye, I love you and you will be missed!
Charlie “Boot” “Tune” Stuckey, I will keep my promise to you, always!
