Easy to Make Arthritis Liniment
Great for Relieving Stiffness in the Morning
This easy to make and natural liniment really helps to relieve joint soreness and stiffness, especially on cold winter mornings when stiffness can be at its worst. It works best when warmed to the touch and applied by hand rubbing the oil on sore areas and joints.
The herbs Wintergreen and Yerba Santa are very common medicinal herbs that can be found online or in health food stores as loose herb or bagged. They are both well known for overcoming and relieving stiffness in the joints and muscles.
These herbs are excellent for relieving deep stiffness and pain associated with arthritis.
To make a natural muscle relaxer and oil that relives pain or discomfort you will need;
1 oz of each herb
1 bottle 8-10 oz of Olvie Oil
A pint jar to store the liniment
Cheese cloth
Small pan and lid
Prepare
To prepare:
Mix equal parts of each herb and cover with Olive Oil in a small pan.
Watch the pot carefully because Olive Oil heats quickly.
Bring the mixture to almost a simmer but do not allow it to over heat or boil.
Cook at lowest heat with the overhead stove fan on
(or with an open window nearby )
The smell can become very Minty.
Simmer on very low heat for 30-60 minutes.
Cool and strain with cheese cloth.
Bottle and apply to affected area as needed.
