Embracing Struggle

Updated on September 1, 2019

Struggling isn't often a choice for us. It's something that comes naturally whether you're expecting it or not. But then again, struggles are always expected in life because life itself is a struggle. You tend to learn that as you mature, especially when you take on more responsibilities.

I like to view the struggling times as motivation to us all. Who wants to remain the struggling stages? You should be motivated to relieve yourself from the chains of struggle. The struggle often drives us insane. You could even become depressed

Think of the ying-yang symbol. Perhaps there is a sign within another that haven't truly recognized yet. A sign explaining exactly how life revolves around us and how it works. Something that is right in front us the whole time can be invisible to the naked eye unless it can be explained more thoroughly. Quite often, it is the true definition of life.

People often question God asking questions like "Why me?" or "Why now?"

Life has a funny way of showing us the little things through times of struggle. But the struggles often consume our minds and drives us into stress that we fail to find the little things that can make a difference, hence the ying-yang symbol. Struggling is simply not something we want but yet it is something we need. It's gives us a reason to view things in different perspectives and appreciate what we have. We hate struggling and rushing to find ways to relieve ourselves from those situations. We often make the wrong choices because we only think we're making progress of making our way out of it but in the end, we most likely ended up making the wrong choice leading to further struggles.

What I want to teach you is that you should view struggling times as just a lecture or an obstacle in life. You can either have help or find your own way to get through it. Struggling shouldn't last forever unless you don't make moves to change it. Struggling times should bring out the better side of you. You should become stronger, wiser, and more mature. This is why I tell you to embrace the struggle. It'll teach you what to do and what not to do in life so you can avoid struggling. I'm not saying that you won't struggle at some point or another but at least you can find more manageable ways to deal with it when the time comes. Think about the life lessons you're going to be able to teach yourself that nobody else will be able to do for you.

I needed to be broke,

So I could learn how to budget.

I needed to be treated poorly,

So I could appreciate being treated right.

I needed to have jobs I hated,

So I can work hard to do something I love.

I needed to struggle in general,

So I can realize what I'm fighting for.

There are many lessons that struggles will teach us but only if we pay attention.
