Feeling Guilty About Playing Farmville?...

I'm a numbers girl, and it has suddenly come to my attention that there are some 83 million people playing Farmville, on facebook. Well...that certainly caught my attention. So I figured I better investigate, and find out why so many people are playing this silly game.

Here are my findings:

Of course I had to start by playing the game. So I set out to build my farm. It aint easy, but it was very educational.

The first thing I discovered it demands is "Time Management" (#1). Should you miss the harvest, you wither. Uh Oh!

The second discovery I made is it prompts "Patience" (#2), another good asset in Life. You have to wait, and watch for the animals to produce Milk, and your crops, to harvest them on time. Patience is a virtue right?

My third discovery was that it forces "Discipline" (#3), certainly a very good asset in business, and life. If you're not disciplined to manage your time with patience, then you will not earn the big bucks.

My fourth discovery is that it also pushes you to help your neighbor, "Help Thy Neighbor" (#4). It's called working together to manage time, be disciplined to be productive, and maintain patience until success is reached.

My fifth discovery is that it urges you to give "Gifts" (#5). To give to others, and share the benefits of success with each other. Sharing the wealth, for the good of the many.

My sixth discovery is it prompts you to be more social amongst your friends. "Socialization" (#6). To interact with others at the same level of equality.

My seventh discovery is that it instills "Love" (#7). When the animals are ready, you collect their goods, and or pet them. Hearts appear when you pet them, to show they love this attention.

My eighth discovery is that is prompts "Brain Activity" (#8). The more stimulation, the more proper firing of brain cells. The more improved your brain, mental awareness, and attitude become. Hence my name: BrainFire.

My ninth discovery is that it prompts "Healthy Competition" (#9). Everyone wants their farm to be the best, and the biggest. Since the skies the limit, it'll be interesting to see how well everyone progresses in all aspects.

My tenth discovery is it trains you to spend your coins wisely. "Financial Management" (#10). Carefully calculating what you have, vs. what you need, and what you can get in the future. All of that dictates your success. Managing your money, another good life-business asset.

My eleventh discovery is that it provides for "Color Therapy" (#11). Colors are beneficial in nature, and we receive the full spectrum of light from our sun. Having a visual stimulation of a variety of colors is actually good for your brain, mind, and outlook. Color the farms beautiful!

My twelfth discovery is it provides for "Mental Awareness" (#12). Everyone interacting with each other, is aware of each other's farms status, level, experience, and more. It keeps you on your toes to do better on your own farm.

My thirteenth discovery is that it prompts "Respect" (#13). Respect for your fellow farmer, and neighbors. Since I see a hint of a mad max world...I'm thinking this is a good thing.

My fourteenth discovery is that it enables you to establish "High Self Esteem" (#14). Receiving rewards, free gifts, and a host of other surprises, for all your efforts...it pays off in the end. Creating a feeling of accomplishment.

My fifteenth discovery is that it helps remind people to " Treat Others as You Wish To Be Treated" (#15). Promoting fairness, and equality amongst the farmers, and animals. Adopting orphaned livestock, and more. Be kind to your neighbor...it pays in the end.

I found the game to tie to life in a dramatic way. I couldn't find too many negatives, except for intermittent browser problems while playing. Over all in general, I found it to be a good game that actually improves skills, and trains people who lack skills. Now all you have to do is apply the very same skills to real life, and you'll reap the same benefit.

So for all you players out there that may have been feeling a little guilty about playing games...Play on! You will only improve your business skill, interpersonal skills, and improve your friendships! Keep stimulating your brain, and be happy...Be sure to eat lot's of fruits and vegetables too!

We're all connected.......on Farmville! Now could you please send me some more Gold!
