Lady Gaga Proves Fibromyalgia is Real

Watching television we will see the Lyrica commercial. This is the most bull that I seen in years. Yes it explains what fibromyalgia is but it also leaves out so much more about this condition.

In this false information of a commercial will state that fibro is widespread pain (now that is right). I will then state how people with this condition cannot participate in family functions ( yes that is somewhat right). Now they state that with Lyrica it can calm down nerves that is believe to be the cause of the pain. Now lets look at what this condition really is. Maybe nerves are involved but what about the others symptoms such as:

• Chronic muscle and joint pain
• Fatigue
• Memory lapse (fibro fog)
• Morning stiffness
• Insomnia

This is just to name a few that I suffer from, within this commercial, do they think all this is associated with nerves… GIVE ME A BREAK. I am not saying the medication doesn’t help a little, I am currently on the max dose (450 mg ) it will calm my restless legs. Yet this medication doesn’t help with other symptoms, this means I am still not able to function properly. This leaves me still laying in the bed and trying to figure out other alternatives.

This commercial is giving unrealistic information to people that does not have the condition. This makes it complicated to explain when many see this and assume all we need is Lyrica. I feel they need to go more in depth about this condition and state the medication will help with some symptoms but not all.
