Introduction

Do you find yourself agreeing with something you really didn't agree with but agreed to avoid conflict? Do you go along with everything just to get through the day?

Are you miserable inside but appear to be happy on the outside. Learn how to identify the true you and the faker.

Stop saying and doing things you don't want to. Start speaking from the heart. Instead of saying what you think people want you to say or do..

Can you look yourself in the eyes? What do you see?
Can you look yourself in the eyes? What do you see?

Take a Good Look at Yourself. What do You See?

They say our eyes are the mirror of the soul. Have you ever looked in someone’s eyes and seen evil or just got a bad feeling? Have you looked at someone with nothing but fear or anger in their eye's? Have you ever taken the time to look in your eyes to see what others see? Probably not!

You probably wake-up in the morning, brush your teeth, wash your face, groom yourself. While looking in the mirror to get ready to start your day.

All you men see is yourself shaving. Women see how well they applied their makeup. Styled their hair. Think about it!

Do you really see yourself in the mirror?

The truth is you do not see yourself. You only see what you are doing to yourself in the mirror. Most of us throughout the day living a lie. We tend to change like the wind. We mask our true thoughts and feelings.

Think about it how many times do you laugh when you really don't feel like laughing but laugh because everyone else laughed when you did not think it was funny?

Ask yourself how many times a day you seek approval from others. Never, really being true to yourself all these things contribute to depression and leave you feeling empty.

First you have to get to know the real you. Identify your true self! You have to come out of denial. For so long you have been doing and saying what you think other people want you to do and say. Along the way, you have lost your identity, yourself and your true purpose.

Looking at yourself in the mirror will reveal issues that you have chosen to ignore. Hoping these issues will either go away or fix themselves.

You may find it hard to look at yourself in the mirror at first. That's normal, keep trying it's not easy to face yourself.

You will have all sorts of feelings boiling up. Allow yourself to feel these feelings. If you feel like crying by all means cry. If you feel like punching something punch something. Just don't hurt yourself in the process.

How to Find the Issues That Have Stayed Hidden Within You

Take time to be alone each day.

Put something comfortable on.

Sit or stand in front of the mirror whichever makes you most comfortable.

Look in the mirror directly at your eyes. Just focus on your eyes for a few moments. You may not see anything at first. Remember we have denied ourselves for many years. (Ignoring ourselves)

You do not have to stare. You can blink just relax. Keep looking at your eyes no matter how hard it is to do. If it is hard for you to look at yourself that is your defense mechanism and denial.

Write down all the negative things you see on one-half the paper. Then write down all the positive that you see on the other half of the paper. Do this for about a week for 10 to 15 minutes a day.

By now, you will see your list grow. Most people have a longer list of negatives. The next week identifies what you see in yourself.

After you have been honest with yourself, it is time to start making changes. The first thing you should do is stop beating yourself up. You cannot forgive others if you cannot forgive yourself.

Take one negative at a time and change it to a positive. No matter what you have to change, you have to want the change. Change your attitude look at life differently than you did in the past. Try to appreciate more of everything in your life.

Take the time to love who you are and love the people around you. Start looking at everyday being your last because it very well could be. If you have resentment that needs to be resolved get it resolved. If you need forgiveness ask for forgiveness.

If you need forgiveness from someone who died. Write them a letter read it aloud let the tears and anger flow out. Then burn the letter when you feel like you have been forgiven.

Only you can change yourself nobody else can. You own your past and what happened in your past. You own your own feelings and past issues.

When you realize that you cannot change what happened in the past but you can change how you feel inside about what happened in the past. You will look at life with a positive eye and mind.

Changing the way you think will make life worth living.

Who is Under the Mask

Our identity is being taken away and we don't even realize it. We all have names but why do people describe us?

In social situations we tend to remember a person by what they do for a living. We also identify someone by their looks.

Example: Who was that girl with the long fingernails? Do you remember that man the other night? He looks like a big time Lawyer.

Do you see what I mean? People seem to discard your real identity which would be your name. Opposed to what you do for a living.

We all live under a mask. The mask con-seals our true identity and over time. We do not know who we are.

Our true self is not what we do for a living or our social standing. I have watched people that I have known for years.

Just having a few drinks. Start to show their true identity. They let go of the fear of being and doing what others expect, therefore being real and true to themselves.

Think about your local librarian. You would never think in a million year if she turned out to be the life of the party.

What if you walked into a bar and found your lawyer crying his eyes out? People want to so much to show their true self but feel they will be found out about. So they hide in their work or they go through each day acting and doing what they think others expect.
