Headaches and a natural remedy

Updated on August 4, 2017

If you are like me and have had headaches since you were child and have tried pills from over the counter to Dr. prescription then maybe you might want to try this.

Peppermint oil, 100% pure oil. You can find this product at just about any natural, Mother Earth type store or other stores that sale natural products.

It is very simple procedure, all you have to do is put a drop on your finger and rub them together, as you are rubbing I actually like to take a whiff of it ,and then you rub it across your forehead by your hair line, and a cooling effect starts immediately. Usually with in 15 minutes you can feel the pain subside.

I use it on my daughters all the time. They are 17, 9,7 in fact they will ask for that before they will ask for a liquid pain reliever for children. It's helps them sleep and helps relieve their headaches without any form of medication.

You can also put a few drops on a wet wash cloth of some type and place it at the base of your neck to help relieve tension headaches. This is wear the pain usually starts when you get a tension headache.

Another amazing thing you can do with peppermint oil is take a whiff of it from the bottle and it actually works as a natural alertness. When you are feeling a little bit warn down or drowsy, a smell of peppermint instantly wakes you up.

Did anyone ever have a parent or grand parent tell you to suck on a peppermint when you have a stomach ache? Mine did and for me personally it works. After all those thick pink liquids that advertise stomach ache pain reliever has a minty flavor to it.

Last I would like to share is you can pour some peppermint oil in a tea light burner and it works as a great air freshener. Another little bit for you readers, it also works as a great cover up. If you put a little drop under your nostrils, that is all you can smell. I will leave it at that.

I just wanted to share a few things about one of my favorite oils. In fact I never leave home with out it.
