Brandi has been a stay at home mom for eleven years. She has a love for Thriller and mystery books, and just finished "All the Lost Souls"

Let's take a minute to talk about healthy alternatives to pain killers. I know, everyone is so used to reaching for their Advil when they have a headache or something hurts but I would love for you to consider something that has become a life saver for me and my family. About seven years ago my Mom gave me this wonderful little thing called a Corn Bag. I didn't think for a minute I would use it as much as I do or that my girls would use it but it is a toss up as to which room it is in at all times. I use this on headaches, sinus pressure, sprains, back pain, cramps, and neck pain. I keep it in my freezer (when nobody is using it). When I have a headache I take it out, lay down and put it on my head and within 5 minutes or so it has usually subsided enough for me to relax. This works on all kinds of things and is super handy when someone falls and needs a cold compress.

On the other side when you need something with heat you just throw this in the microwave for up to 2 minutes and you have a nice heating pad. These are super simple to make you just cut out what ever size you need, sew it on 3 sides, fill it with deer corn or rice and then sew it up.

If you don't want to make one they sell them on Etsy or if you live by me or know me I usually have quite a few on hand and sell them for 10 dollars each. Good luck and if you have any comments or questions feel free.
