I miss you mom -- Heaven is too far away....

It is my faith that propels me forward, and yet grief is a very big part of every day.

I could never thank you enough for the unconditional love you showed me.

Looking back, I didn't realize the extent in which I counted on you.

On my own, I look to the strength you showed me through your life.

Very deep sadness wells up within my heart.

Every day I think of you and can’t believe you are really gone.

You left a legacy of love and compassion to more people than you could imagine.

On my own, I look to the example of how to love others, that you lived out in your own life.

Undeniable grief and sadness fill up so many of my days.

Mom, I love you, I miss you, I am thankful for our shared faith in Christ.

On my own, I look to my faith in Christ to see me through, and know that only HE can.

Mom, I can’t wait to see you, I will continue to miss you every day we are apart.

I am forever thankful for you, Heaven seems too far away, and yet I know I will see you again.

Today, I am one day closer to our heavenly reunion!

With all my love,

Very beautiful and I feel it all as I am sure many here do who have lost their mothers and so many of us has written about. In fact my mothers abuse is what brought me here to write, I had never written before and all my friends listened to me scream and cry...and remember; a mother I could not bear to lose. Do we ever get over it?

Helen - thanks you for your kindness -- I was just sitting with my dad, tearfully remembering how "filled with life" my mom was, right up until the end. A wise woman told me that because we love deeply, we must also grieve and hurt deeply ... it is so very true. I look forward to the day we will be reunited.... bless you as you continue to learn to live without your mom. We were blessed with God's best!

      Hi Tami,

I love your hub about your mom...and I understand because I too have lost my was just three years ago and I miss her so much, the way you miss your mom....I too know I'll see her in heaven one day!.....

The music video was very beautiful about the Spafford family and how Mr. & Mrs. Spafford lost all of their children.....I had heard about the tragic losses of their children years ago & thought it so sad!....Wow, what a blessing that Mr. Spafford was led by the Lord, to write such an amazing song....and I know this song very I know about the man who wrote it.....thank you for writing this hub.....

      God bless you,

You have posted one of my favorite hymns here, and it was loved by my mom as well. I hear your heart and am of the same mindset. My mom was my best friend as well. One day, we will all meet again. God Bless you.
