Lets Have Fun Losing Weight!
Okay folks are you tired of drabby diets and disgusting menus? Have you tried every fad diet and for some odd reason you weren't part of a before and after picture?
You are not alone! Tis the season for diet resolutions; that means a bunch of depressed fluffy people who are dreading what kind of egg and tuna recipe they are going to have to eat for 8 weeks. Lets don't forget all the scrumptious cabbage soup and the tiny meal replacement bar. ( They could at least come up with a King Size). I'm sure your following me now. I think it's time we end the drub, boring side of losing weight and punch those pounds with fun. Here is some jazzy ideas that just might make your dieting a little more successful this year; if not --they are sure to make you fat and happy :.)
"Burn off those calories before you consume a thing!"
"Dance while you cook! Yes, I mean dance." Those ingredients you need are all over that kitchen of yours, so crank up the jive and dance over and get em. Put on some booties and do a balerina twirl with gallon of milk in your hand, switch hands....yeah! Who needs weights? In-between flipping the meat or stacking the salad ---"Take a slide across the floor and pretend your skating." Alright, now time to do squats against the kitchen cabinet. Between stunts sip you some cold cold water from a glass bottle (so nice and cold you will drink more).
After you eat and serve --- "Go clean your kitchen the same way and give yourself a time limit to get it done......baby go soak in tub awhile."
I don't know about you, but I need some rootin to help keep me motivated. That don't mean all those skinny pussy cats poking their advise when they just have skinny genes to stand on. I mean there is whole lot of normal people out there that need to find their curves that just could use some fellowship doing it.
You are your first member! "Establish a diet routine and invite the gals to join."
Meeting house: After perking interest, find a place to meet --- like your house, a friends house, club hall, church hall or any kind of meeting place.
Diet Diary: Everyone can keep a diet diary to record their progress, they don't have to share it with anyone if they don't want.
Private Weighing: "Put the scales in a private room, like a bathroom; everyone marks down their weight in their book before each meeting starts."
Potluck: "Have everyone bring their diet recipe for the week to share with the group and once a month have a potluck to taste test low-fat recipes."
Incentives: "Be creative and create incentives that will set the mood rolling for consistent weight loss."
Example: Field trips: Shopping trip for those who have met the 10 pound goal.
"Try a Halfway Challenge, everyone that meets their goal halfway goes to a spa, massage, concert, amusement park or just a special dress up date night with the sweetheart at an expensive restaurant."
After the weight goal is met--- "Plan an overnight party out of town." "Just laugh and giggle, shop till you drop for all those dreamy clothes you can now wear, have a fashion show at the department store ( everyone will wonder where so many pretty, skinny ladies came from). Go ahead and indulge at your favorite restaurant eating your favorite foods, but eat sensibly after that ( don't go back to that). Go back home dolled up and show that husband of yours what a chick he's married to."
Keep your support group together to exercise, motivate and encourage each other to stay fit and healthy, always sharing new ideas and remaking old ones too.
Name your group: I know there is Weight Watchers, Tops and Curves, these are all great, but many quit going. If it is just a bunch of girlfriends getting together it might be easier to stick with it. "Give yourselves a name and celebrate getting skinny."
Laugh And Laugh
Yes, you may be on a diet, but you don't have to die while your at it; so laugh instead. Laughter is not only a good fat-burner,but it boosts your moods as well. If you are happy all the time, the salad won't be so boring.
Comedian: "Play a comedian and give yourself the freedom to laugh."
"Surround yourself with fun loving people that aren't negative." Depression will slow weight loss and negative people contribute to that.
"Plan an evening to play fun games like Twister, MadGab, Balderdash, Catch The Phrase and many more that keep you laughing."
"Share funny stories with friends and family"....
"Plan a prank that will sure make a hilarious memory."
Being happy and ornery will boost your energy and give you more patience to follow through till the goal is met.
Get A Little Soul !!!!!!
It don't matter your race--"Every God- made person can enjoy a little soul."
"Crank up the soulful music and exercise to the energy of Soul Music."
If your a God fearin believer: "Worship to the soul music." Worship can be very energetic and invigorating. Not only are you connecting with God, but you are releasing all the daily stresses and concentrating on how much you have to be thankful for. When you think about how blessed you are, it won't be hard to turn your living room into a jubilee.
Turn Tel-a-thons Into Walk-a-thons
"Make good use out of those long drug out phone calls you get; like when Matilda talks about her heel spurs and everyone in town for two hours and twenty minutes." Instead of sitting until your rump hurts--- "Try pacing the floor, walk through your house briskly." It's hard to realize you were walking that long once you get off the phone.
Better yet --" Just call an old friend and plan a long chat, share memories and current happenings about your gang." This will be a delightful way to get walking in and boost the mood too.
