Hitting Rock Bottom to Become Empowered

Updated on November 17, 2014

Face your fears and turn them into positive energy.

We have all been there. That moment, when we just feel like quitting, when we just feel it would be so much easier to give up, than to keep pursuing a dream that seems to be so far away. That moment, where everything seems to be pushing you down, everything is going wrong, yes that moment, when you just lie there in tears, feeling like giving up.

But there is something about that moment, that feeling of hope you always feel after a good strong cry. That moment that you suddenly stand back up again, take a deep breath and tell yourself, I can do this, because no one can put out that spark, except for me. And at that moment you go for your dreams with amazing force, and suddenly you realize it isn't as far as you thought.

Sometimes you have to go there, face your darkest fears face to face and shake them, tell them that they cant stop you. Use them as a guiding force, to show the world that you wanted something, you went for it, you worked hard, and you accomplished it.

I speak of personal experience, because my worst critic has always been me. I cant tell you how many times I felt like giving up, like finding a new career, how many times I told myself "This is not realistic" How many times I laid there feeling broken, yet I took all of that energy and I told myself, "The only person stopping me, is myself" . We have the power to reach our dreams, but they cant be accomplished if you yourself doubt them. Wake up, shake the dust off, look in the mirror, and tell yourself "I can do this". And you will.
