These astringents and toners are made from all natural non-toxic ingredients so they are healthier for you skin. Facial Astringents stimulate the skin system but can also dry the skin out. Facial Astringents should only be used on oily skin or open pore type skin.

Facial astringents should not be used on acne or blemishes because they can exacerbate the condition. Seborrhea and other skin blemish conditions should have a good facial toner used on them to help promote healing of the skin.

Facial Toners help to refine open pores and unevenly textured skin. Toners also reduce oiliness and stimulate the circulation in the skin. Facial Toners are much milder than astringents. Facial Toners should be used after you cleanse your face to remove any left over residue from other facial products.

When making your own facial astringents and facial toners you should use essential oils because they are very effective even though they are not so easy to blend but if you give the bottle a few good shakes before each use this will be effective in making sure that they are mixed well.

You need to put all the ingredients into a glass bottle or jar with a screw on lid that is airtight for good storing and let it sit for 24 hours then pour through a paper coffee filter. Rebottle it and use when needed but, don't forget to shake it up before each use.
