How Listening To Your Heart Can Help In Your Life's Journeys

Updated on April 30, 2011

Following Your Heart

There are so many people out in the world that really don't want to listen to anything anyone has to say. They may feel offended if someone were to correct them or give criticism to them. They just don't want to listen. There is one thing that you should diffidently listen to and that is your heart.

Just how listening to your heart can help in your life's journeys depends on if you listen or not. Following your dreams and following your heart can lead you in the right direction in life.

Have you ever had a hunch to do something and you thought in your mind it would work or it could be a wonderful thing? One part of you says to go for it and the other part inside you says you are afraid or it won't work at all. So you are torn to knowing what to do, if anything at all.

Then you have heard the saying, "Listen to your Heart." Well there is the problem with many of us today, we are afraid to listen to our own heart, in which most of the time because we didn't listen to our own heart we wind up very disappointed or sad because we might of missed out on an experience of a life time or sad because we should of done something that we didn't do by not listening to our heart.

What Does It Take To Follow Your Heart

What does it take to listen to yourself and what your heart is telling you? Why do we listen to people that may give the wrong advise, but we won't listen to our heart?

There could of been many things in our lives that could of been resolved, fixed, or done differently if we were to listen to our heart. We should have trust in our own self and make it a point to listen to what our heart and mind are trying to tell us and not be afraid to do so.

The point I am trying to make here is to not be afraid of yourself and listen to what your heart is trying to tell you and if your heart is trying to tell you something don't ignore whats being said, because sometimes you may be sorry you didn't listen to your own heart.

If and when you do listen to someones advise, before acting on their advise, listen to your heart first and find out if the advise given to you is correct or not and when you feel comfortable with their advise then you can act on it.

Listening to one's heart can be emotional sometimes since, our feelings can make us over-rule the practical side towards life.

But, it does not hurt to listen to it SOMETIMES :)

Nice hub my friend and so true. Why is it that we listen to others before ourselves? Silly when you really think about it.
