How To Feel More Beautiful

Updated on April 24, 2011

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What is considered beautiful to someone might not be considered beautiful to someone else. To feel beautiful you must learn how to love yourself. Once you love yourself and build confidence in yourself, others will also see how beautiful you are. You do not need to wear extra makeup, add a push up bra, or have a one night stand to feel beautiful. Here are some tips that can help you to feel more beautiful.

1) Conquer your insecurity.

Doubting yourself and feeling worthless has negative consequences on your self- esteem. To overcome these negative feelings, you must except the fact that no one is perfect. Even the world’s best supermodels, royalty, and celebrities have flaws. They also feel insecure sometimes.

2) Build Self Confidence.

Building self- confidence is very important in learning how to accept yourself. You can build self confidence in many ways including identifying your strengths, being thankful for what you have, being positive, accepting compliments, setting goals for yourself, and motivating yourself.

3) Accept who you are.

Look in the mirror without shuddering. Learn to love your body and your soul. Say to yourself confidently, “ I am beautiful”. Do this routine every day and you will see a difference

4) Don’t be your worst critic.

Learn to respect who you are as an individual. If you always doubt yourself and believe you are wrong all the time, you will never make good choices. Learn how to trust yourself.

5) Learn to take criticism

When others criticize and belittle you, don’t feel overly offended. Don’t take the criticism as a threat. This will only make you feel worse than you already are. Rather, take the criticism as an exchange of opinions.

6) Find characteristics to be proud of.

Each individual has weaknesses and strengths. Find your personal strengths. Are you funny, honest, sweet, and courageous? Find out what makes you beautiful inside.

7) Don’t compare.

Avoid comparing yourself with others. Rather, learn to embrace the fact that we are all unique. Love yourself and learn to bring out your positive qualities.

8) Create good habits.

Learn to create good routines such as eating right, exercising regularly, planning ahead, setting goals etc. You will learn to get a sense of control when you create good habits.

9) Accept others for what they are as well.

Learn to love others. Give people the opportunity to make them think that they are also beautiful. Make beauty abundant.

10) Fulfill your passions

Do what you love to do. For example, if you are good at art, take some painting courses. If you always wanted to go mountain climbing, take on that adventure. If you wanted to travel the world, don’t let anyone stop you. When you do things that you love to do, you forget about everything else and concentrate on that moment.

11) Learn to smile

Smiling will boost your confidence and make you happier. Force yourself to smile, and you will see the difference.

12) Be nice to others

Treat others the way you would like to be treated. You will find that you will feel a lot better and the other person will thank you inside
