How To Get Over A Hang Over - Best Herbal Hangover Remedies

Updated on March 16, 2011

Before the deed!!! With other words The Preventive 'Cure'. Steep 2 teaspoons of crushed fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon of lemon balm, and 2 teaspoons of crushed mugwort leaves in 10 ounces of boiling water for 15 minutes. Add equal amount of any pure fruit juice and drink half two hours before the party and the rest an hour before. This really doesn't taste too great but it works. (Remember to also eat a solid supper before.)

After drinking, before bed drink a lavender tea which will help settle the stomach. Steep two teaspoons of lavender flowers for 10 minutes and drink while hot.

On the morning after the night before again dink lavender tea with 1 teaspoon of fennel seed added. Again steeped for 10 minutes and taken hot. Continue drinking this tea one glass per hour four or five times. This to flush and dilute alcohol out of the system.

This was Grandpa-in-laws secret weapon, who made it to the ripe old age of 99. He really liked to tie on a few (a few too many) on one occassion or two or three....

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with this breathing exercise but I could look into it.

However I think ones you've poured enough alcohol into your system to give you a hangover you might need more than oxygen to clear your body, hence the many cups of tea...

      Thanks regards Zsuzsy

Like I said the 'before' tastes like s*** but it sure works. Possibly it's that hard to get down, because you don't have anything to regret yet.... anyway Goodluck
