How To Lose Weight Fast - The Right Mindset To Lose Weight

Updated on January 24, 2011

The Hype

Lately, I've been reading a lot of ads on the internet claiming to sell a product or service that will initially make the fat melt away and help one to loose weight fast. While some of these products may be true to their word, most are nothing but “sugar pills”, for a lack of better terms. What's funnier is that most of these so called weight-loss products say that in order for their product to work, one must incorporate a good diet and exercise regimen. If someone has a good healthy diet, and exercises regularly, of coarse they will loose weight. This is common sense if you ask me.  Thats just money down the drain.

The Mindset

In or for someone to lose weight fast, that person must possess the single, most important attribute and that attribute is called “DETERMINATION”. Determination is the key to acquiring just about anything you put your mind to. Once you have completely and fully made up your mind about losing weight and decide to religiously stick with it , then and only then will you ever see results.

Dietary Changes

The first step is going to be to cut out simple sugars such as candy, chocolate, soda, and any other junk foods of that sort. You also will not be eating anytime after 9pm. That should be your kitchen deadline. It may be difficult at first, in fact for a lot of you, I know it is very difficult. At this time, you need constantly remind yourself which you would rather have, the snickers or your dream body; no matter how far you are from your goal. If you are determined enough, you will get over it, plain and simple. If you are not willing to change your habits and lifestyle, what makes you think that you can just up and transform your entire body?

Anyway, that was a bit of a ramble but it's all true. Also keep in mind that you do not have to cut out every little thing from your diet. You really just need to know when enough is enough. You're need to incorporate a lot of fiber and protein into your diet. Start out by preparing your usual serving size and then cut it in half, putting each half on a separate plate. Wrap the plate your not eating and save it for later. Eat two medium sized meals a day, overtime. This means that you will actually be eating four times a day, just in smaller portions. This helps your food to digest much faster. Also remember to eat a good sized breakfast. This helps keep your appetite down throughout the day.

The Exercise

The next thing you will NEED to do in order to loose weight fast is, you guessed it, exercise. Period. Don't be lazy. People often think of obese people and laziness in the same context, be it true or not. That being said, get off your couch and do something constructive. Start by jogging one mile in the morning and one mile at night, at least two hours after you've eaten. Yes, I did say start with this. The only way you'll know if you can do it is by trying and pushing yourself to finish, even though you may not be able to finish the first time. Besides, your main goal, if your reading this, is to loose weight FAST. Do this every day and take two days off a week for recuperation.

Also, you'll want to do push-ups and sit-ups every night right before you go to sleep and in the mornings when you first wake up. Do not keep count of how many you do. I have found that people who don't count their reps, actually do more. This avoids the chances of limiting yourself. So, you'll want to do push-ups until you can't push yourself up any longer. Once your at this point, immediately roll over to your back and start doing crunched until you can't crunch any more. By the time your finished crunching, your arms will have healed enough to crank out some more push-ups. Once your can't do anymore push-ups, your abs will have healed to where you can crank out some more sit-ups, and so on and so on. Instead of counting my reps and sets, I like to just repeat this process until sweat is dripping from the tip of my nose and chin. This is usually a good stopping point sense you wanna save some energy for your jog or run.

Here is an basic example of how your day should look:

Morning (7 or 8am) – push-ups and sit-ups – Jog 1 mile – Eat a good breakfast

Noon – Eat one of your cut portions

Afternoon (3 or 4) – Eat one of your cut portions

Night (7 or 8) – Jog 1 mile – Eat one of your cut portions – Push-ups and sit-ups

NO EATING AFTER 9PM

Sleep (healing time)

These changes should create a huge boost to your metabolism and ultimately help you in term of overall health in the long run.

The Sum Up

To sum it up, the main goal of this guide is to cut your calorie intake in half, while at the same time, double the amount of calories you burn. The is the sure-fire way to loose weight fast. Stick with the guide and I assure you that you will see results in a month or two's time. “Dueces”
