How to Get Back At People Who Hurt You

Getting Back at People That Hurt You
This can be a very complex subject. Like you may not be sure who hurt you or if a person meant to hurt you or if maybe it is partly your fault. So this has a method to take care of all this. For example say that a Protestant and a Catholic are both trying to get the same person into their religion.
In the world there are more Catholics that Protestants but in America there are more Protestants than Catholics. Now say these 2 Christians start shouting at each other and calling each other names. Now the Catholics may say that the Catholic is in the right and the Protestants may say that the Protestant is in the right.
L. Ron Hubbard says that people should try to control what they can control and do not try to control what you cannot control. Now I can tell you what Jesus says on this like "Turn the other cheek" but I have a more proactive approach. This is also an original approach. Although Mahatma Gandhi, by himself, went to war with millions of people and beat them using this approach.
Sometimes you have 2 countries going to war like England and France and both of them are praying to God to help them win. They have this cartoon or animated show called Yu-Gi-Oh! They have these games called duel monsters. Many times to get a more powerful monster, you need to sacrifice other monsters. Praying is not a sacrifice.
So here is the approach to get back at people that hurt you. You make a sacrifice to increase your good luck. Also you make sure that you are on the right side of the disagreement. The way to do this is by fasting. This means to consume only pure water and nothing else. I have an article about the Health Benefits of Fasting. So you can see that for more on how to safely do it.
That webpage says about fasting:
Ancient Jews used it for health, mourning, self-denial, petition and penitence according to Rabbi Morris Kertzer who wrote What is a Jew . Petition is trying to get something from people or God. Penitence is punishing yourself to help you feel better and make up for bad things (sins) you have done.
This practice is used in different religions like with Islam, Christianity, Judaism and even in Buddhism that is different than the others since it is not concerned with God, but with the individual. In the bible Jesus did not do any preaching or miracles until after fasting for 40 days. Moses fasted for 40 days also and was given God's commandments. Buddha also did fasting.
Now the idea behind fasting to get back at those who have hurt you is to accelerate the universal justice while positioning yourself on the right side. You are taking yourself out of the picture since you have no choices to make on what to eat. One unusual guy that fasted was Pythagoras. Note that there was no Christian religion during his life. He lived 500 years before Jesus was born. Here is what this webpage says about him.
He was a Greek philosopher who was responsible for important developments in the history of mathematics, astronomy, and the theory of music.
"So you will have to go on a 40 day fast, continuously breathing in a certain manner, with a certain awareness on certain points." After 40 days of fasting and breathing, aware, attentive, he was allowed to enter the school at Diospolis. It is said that Pythagoras said, "You are not allowing Pythagoras in. I am a different man, I am reborn. You were right and I was wrong, because then my whole standpoint was intellectual. Through this purification, my center of being has changed."
Here is a webpage called Fasting - Key To Power! It says:
This is where the power is at, because fasting puts us in harmony with an All-Powerful God who demands humility from those who wish to be close to Him. Fasting humbles the flesh. When it is done for that purpose, it pleases the Spirit of God.
Ezra the priest fasted for God's protection while carrying valuable things for God's temple. We too can fast for God's protection. (Ezra 8:21-23)
Fasting is not easy. There are degrees of fasting, of course. The pain of fasting is twofold. The physical pain is due to the detoxification of our bodies. All the accumulated poison and garbage starts to come into our blood and we feel dreadful.
The soulish pain is due to the conflict in the spiritual realm between your flesh and the Spirit of God. [There is a lot more on this webpage about this.]
Every time we fast, if we do it with humility, God will somehow reward us for it.
Fasting for the Resolutions of Problems
This webpage says:
Why are you fasting? Is it for spiritual renewal, for guidance, for healing, for the resolution of problems, for special grace to handle a difficult situation? Ask the Holy Spirit to clarify His leading and objectives for your prayer fast. This will enable you to pray more specifically and strategically.
Through fasting and prayer we humble ourselves before God so the Holy Spirit will stir our souls, awaken our churches, and heal our land according to 2 Chronicles 7:14. Make this a priority in your fasting.
The above webpage has some good practical advice on fasting so it is worth reading. Mahatma Gandhi used nonviolence to get England to let India become an independent nation. After this there were Muslims and Hindus that were fighting and killing each other. So Mahatma Gandhi said that he will not eat until they stop fighting.
Now Hindus and Muslims came to him telling him that they are not going to stop fighting but they begged his to start eating, but he would not. Note that Mahatma Gandhi was not a Christian. So Gandhi became close to death and all the Muslims and Hindus stopped fighting. So he was able to eat and continue living.
On the video below, Pastor Paula White says that sex and eating are the 2 most powerful desires. A human has a divine soul that resides in a physical body. Animals have been designed to love to eat for survival of the individual and to love sex for survival of the species. Actually after about 10 days of fasting my sexual drive gets turned off.
Pastor Paula White talks about the 4 kinds of fasts on the video below in her philosophy of fasting. For the best effect I suggest that people fast where they consume pure water and nothing else. I used to have a tendency to think about food all the time while fasting. But with practice I have gotten a lot better at it and more comfortable with doing fast.
The best meal that I ever had was after a 10 day fast. It was due to the fast. It was long enough to make a difference but short enough where I was able to have a full meal. I started off with fruit at a Whole Foods store. Then I waited about 15 minutes and had a salad that I made from the salad bar there. Then after that I ate some healthy cooked food.
People eat a lot more food then they need to eat. Also they tend to not get enough sleep. Fasting can help you to have a more restful sleep. People eat so much food since they are addicted to food and how the taste of the food makes them feel. Of course the food manufacturers do their best to make the food as addictive as possible.
At the end of Paula's video below she gives all these bible quotes about fasting like "fasting breaks the spirit of grief," "fasting breaks poverty," "fasting brings revelation," "fasting solves problems," "fasting can open doors that no man can shut" and much more. Please note that I am not a Christian but I know good advice when I hear it. She even give bible examples where people find a spouse through fasting.
