People try so many methods to lose weight. Are you one of those people who have tried diet after diet, exercise regimes, weight loss drinks, and diet supplements? Then this is a great solution for you if you follow it whole heartedly.

Firstly, no you cannot lose 30 pounds in 10 days well certainly not in a healthy way. Weight loss is a commitment and a journey. The best way is to kick start your weight loss journey with a nice diet plan and then slowly start incorporating regular food back into your diet always keeping the calorie intake in check.

The following diet is very effective and its easy to follow it requires things that are already in our homes. The only unique item required is Psyllium husk which you can probably find online if not at your local grocery store. I will also mention the other health benefits of psyllium husk later on. The other great weight loss item is green tea, among its tremendous other health benefits is weight loss.

If followed properly this diet can make you lose around 15-20 pounds in 30 days. It’s a great diet plan to follow before holidays and weddings.

The Diet Plan


  • 2 cups of black tea (without sugar)
  • 2 eggs in olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of Cream cheese

Tea at 11 a.m.

  • 2 cups green tea
  • 5 almonds or 3 walnuts


  • 1 serving of beef, fish or chicken
  • 1 cup of salad
  • 1 cup of green tea

Afternoon Tea

  • 1 cup black tea
  • 2 eggs


  • 1 serving beef, fish or chicken
  • 1 cup green tea

At bed time

  • Psyllium husk (ispaghol), metamucus husk

Mix 1 tablespoon of psyllium husk in room temperature water and keep it for 5 minutes. Take the whole glass while retiring to bed. After 5-7 days you can also have a glass of water with a teaspoon of psyllium husk before meals, it makes you feel fuller and reduces hunger.


  • Rice, chappati, bread, Bakery items
  • Milk, yogurt, buttermilk, fruit juice
  • Pulses/lentils

Special Instructions

People with no exercise routine start off with brisk walking 30 minutes a day and gradually build it up to two sessions of 30 minutes daily. If you already have an exercise routine stick to it.

Benefits of Psyllium

Psyllium is a soluble fiber used to treat different conditions and it can be useful in lowering cholesterol, lowering blood sugar, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and hemorrhoids.

Benefits of Green Tea

There are so many health benefits of green tea that it is often said it might be the best drink available. It is helpful in treating/preventing cancer, impaired immune functions, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, infections, and rheumatoid arthritis.
