How to Lose Weight in 5 Bizarre Ways Without Exercise

Updated on January 21, 2020

weightloss

We have for a long time known that the key to weight loss has been eating a balanced diet and working up a sweat but this has of late taken a different twist with exercise being thrown out of the window. People who been so engrossed with weight loss, have come up with bizarre and weird ways to take the shortest route to their dream size and body. As bizarre and awkward as the ways maybe, it could be a solution for those who are fond of giving reasons to avoid diet and exercise. Reasons like since its winter, you need the extra food for extra insulation for your body, what about when you go to the gym somebody is always on your machine so this becomes a confirmation that you were not meant to exercise. So for all you who use excuses to avoid the exercises, join the band wagon and utilize some of these five bizarre and weird ideas that prove that battling the bulge is a real battle.

1 Use the power of smell

This is as easy as they come, just sniff a banana, apple or peppermint .Of course you may feel silly especially when in front of people. This works by having the ability to trick the brain that you are actually eating whatever you smell. Grapefruit oil can also be used. Carry a vial throughout the day and anytime there is a food craving take a sniff. The other way is to eat grapefruit before you sit to eat your lunch or dinner. This is among the easy ones to do.

2. The Feeding Tube Diet

We all thought feeding tubes were to be used by the sick and elderly. Alas, weight loss fanatics have now resorted to using them, the connections of the feeding tubes are even more bizarre as they are placed in the nose, ported to the stomach, then they are hooked up to a small pump whose aim is to provide a continuous drip of a liquid that is protein-fat. The liquid makes sure that weight loss is inevitable as there is no solid food eaten. Weight loss is surely leading to crazy ideas. This feeding tube diet is also called the K-E (Ketogenic enteral nutrition) diet and uses a process known as ketosis which when triggered, burns body fat due to the lack of carbohydrates. However to get the best results the dieters have to carry around the bag of fluid everywhere they go.

3. Body Wraps

If you want to look like an Egyptian mummy in order to lose weight, then, this is the method for you. This wacky treatment entails being wrapped from head to toe in elastic bandages. This is a process of being mummified, like the Egyptian mummies. During this process, you have to stay moving for up to sixty minutes for the blood to circulate. Once untied, voila, the result is inches that have been squeezed out of your body. So before you get bandaged, make sure you have clothes that you can use as the ones you will be wearing will not fit you any longer. If this is too much, then try a gastric band which is a restrictive band that is placed around the stomach and gives the sensation of a full stomach. This makes sure you therefore eat less and the result is weight loss. However there are a few sacrifices to be made like surgery to fit the band. If the previous one is extreme, how about tying your waist with a ribbon when going for dinner or lunch? This will make you conscious of your tummy and restrict you’re eating. This is because the ribbon will begin to feel tighter as you continue eating. Another way to go about it is to wear tight clothes when eating. This is a good reason to wear your tight clothes when going out for dinner or lunch. Try to ditch the loose clothes like sweaters or t-shirts because if you go out for lunch or dinner with them on, the chances are very high that you will overeat. Remember with loose clothes, there will be no way to remember that you have had enough until it is too late.

4. Stapling

You need a lot of courage for this method of stapling because your ear is to be stapled. It works by surgical staples being placed in the inner cartilage of the ear. This needs to be left for a number of weeks. The belief with this treatment is that it suppresses appetite. Or better still, have the stomach stapled. This involves creating a pouch in the stomach surgically which can only hold a small amount of food. The aim of this is to restrict eating, leading to immediate weight loss. This is a risky procedure and could lead to loss of life as a result of infections.

5. Diet Sunglasses and blue walls

The concept behind these diet sunglasses is as funny as the glasses. The glasses have a blue tint and aim at making the food look less edible and as a result unfit for consumption. Why blue, you may wonder? Blue is a color that is associated with rotten food which no one would think of wanting to eat. Aside from having blue glasses, you can paint your walls blue and especially the ones of the dining room. This uses the concept that blue is an appetite suppressant and will ultimately affect your food consumption. Better still you could eat from blue plates or cover your table with a blue table cloth.
