How to Slow Down Aging Naturally and Increase HGH Levels Legally
Anti-aging Secrets
It’s funny how in our younger years we never once stopped to think about getting old. In fact it was the last thing on our minds. Most of us were too busy living life and hopefully having fun doing so. But Father-time has a strange way of creeping up on us all, and before we realize it 20 years have passed and we’re at a place in time we thought was so very far away. Maybe now is where you start thinking about what you could have done differently. You start beating yourself up about how you should have never started smoking, or partied so much, or should have got more sleep. Maybe you regret drinking too much, staying out in the sun too much, not eating healthy, or not exercising enough. And then there are those of us who may think we did everything right, or almost everything, but would still like to know how to slow down aging naturally.
Whether you’ve taken the hard road or not, our lifestyles will eventually be revealed firstly by the condition of our skin. Over the years your skin will not only show what you’ve put your body through on the outside by sun exposure, harsh weather, chemicals and pollutants, but also reflect what you’ve done to your body from the inside through medication, drugs, smoking or bad diet just to name a few. The results are not only wrinkles, but also include scars, spots, and bumps and discolorations of the skin. Secondly, life takes its toll on internal organs, bones, as well as muscles, and joints. We are not as limber as once before, are more prone to injury, joints start to ache, back pain may become a problem, and we tire more easily.
As it may, we are still all mortals and we have yet to discover the fountain of youth, and although molecular biologists have been making headway on turning back the clock at the molecular level, they have yet to succeed. So until that day comes, all we are left with are some helpful steps on how to slow down aging naturally. Some of these steps include learning about various foods that slow aging down, including other nutrients and supplementations, how to increase HGH levels, how sleep and exercise, and even sex can slow down aging, and finally some latest developments in anti-aging research. In addition, we also cover other less orthodox methods on how to slow down aging, and cover some of the latest developments in age reversal.
Food & Nurtrition
Foods that slow down Aging Naturally
Let’s take a look at how to slow down aging naturally through what we eat on a daily basis. Our diet not only supplies us with energy, but also the vitamins and minerals necessary to keep our body healthy and functioning properly. Cell regeneration relies on a well-balanced diet. Unfortunately, everyday life makes it almost impossible for many of us to eat a proper diet on a daily basis. So we are forced to eat fast foods lacking vital vitamins and nutrients and high in salt, sugar and unhealthy fats.
Foods that slow aging must encompass all vitamins and nutrients vital for organ function, development and repair. Vitamins to slow aging would include vitamins A, B, and C, which together are essential for protecting cells from free radicals. Each of these vitamins also possesses unique functions of their own. Vitamin A is essential for eye site. Vitamin C is essential in the formation of connective tissue and strengthens the immune system.

Another among the important vitamins to slow aging is vitamin E. Vitamin E protects and strengthens your cardiovascular system and skin. Let’s not forget to include calcium and magnesium. Together with vitamin D, these two minerals are very important for healthy bones and teeth. Osteoporosis is one of the leading degenerative diseases affecting the elderly, and so the absorption of calcium is of utmost importance to keeping bones strong and preventing bone fractures.
Flavonoids are extremely important in the anti-aging process. They are plant based compounds found with powerful antioxidant properties, and can be found in various fruits and vegetables, and even dark chocolate, tea and red wine. Other good sources of flavonoids are apples, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, onions cabbage, broccoli and capers. Flavonoids help reduce inflammation, and help slow down aging naturally by repairing damaged cells.
Carotenoids, another powerful antioxidant, is a precursor to vitamin A and can be found mostly in yellow and orange pigmented fruits and vegetables, but can also be found in some green leafy vegetables. Some great foods that slow aging containing carotenoids are oranges, carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and kale, turnip greens, mustard greens, spinach, collards, and lettuce. Carotenoids help fight against certain cancer, help prevent heart disease, and help your immune system fight infection.
Over all, eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Try to buy wholefoods and eat mostly raw and don’t over-cook. Juicing is also a great way to supercharge your body with essential vitamins and minerals vital for cells. Eat small meals more frequently throughout the day, and drink plenty of water to stay well hydrated.
How to slow down aging naturally with Extra Nutrients
There are also many other anti-aging nutrients we can supplement to prevent aging naturally such as CoQ10, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), acetyl-l-carnitine and lipoic acid. All of these nutrients are important in maintaining the ability of the metochondria to produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP is a high energy compound used in every cell in our body to help reduce oxidative stress and thus help slow down aging. So keeping the metachondria healthy is of utmost importance.
Studies have also shown that creatine is very affective in recharging degenerated or depleted ATP back to its original energy levels that is so important in fighting the aging process. Creatine can be found in foods such as beef, salmon and tuna, and taken as a supplement in powder form. Other additional benefits of creatine are its ability to increase lean body mass, improve strength and endurance, and supports bone and cartilage development.
Newly approved plant based Phytoceramedes – Skin Renewal Pills
Dr. Oz calls this new dietary supplement the anti-aging breakthrough and says it’s “the secret to cheat your age”. Phytoceramede’s natural ingredient works to erase fine lines and wrinkles at the cellular level, which makes this supplement so effective. It’s powerful antioxidant slows down the rate of free-radical damage, which is a major cause for dry skin and wrinkles. It is said to prevent and even reverse aging skin because it produces collagen. Collagen is a protein, responsible for making skin appear plump and firm. It is also said that taking Phytoceramedes orally can be up to 20 times more effective than topical applications. I have read many reviews on Amazon, and it actually appears to be effective.
Increase HGH
How to Slow Down Aging Naturally by Increasing HGH Levels
HGH or Growth Hormone is created naturally in the pituitary gland and stimulates growth, cell reproduction and regeneration, burns fat and keeps your energy up and your muscles strong. HGH help us grow into adulthood, however, as we age the natural production of HGH drops considerably. It is said that by middle age, we will have lost over 80% of our HGH production.
HGH is legally only obtainable by prescriptions from your doctor. HGH is administered by injection and is quite expensive, averaging $300 per month. Although the use of synthetic HGH is still controversial, there is no conclusive evidence showing that it is indeed the “anti-aging miracle”. However, studies in older men have shown an increase in strength and muscle mass, a decrease in body fat and better bone density.
Here are some ways to help you increase HGH levels naturally:
- Supplements – studies have also shown certain supplements that can help increase HGH naturally such as Gaba, Glutamine, ZMA, Creatine, Alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine (A-GPC), and certain amino acids. There was mention on the Dr. Oz Show on how to stimulate growth hormone naturally by taking four amino acids (Glycine, Ornithine, Arginine, Lysine), also referred to as GOAL, combined with resistance training and a deep sleep.
- Food – to increase HGH levels naturally, eat foods high in arginine such as egg whites, nuts, seeds, milk, shell fish, oats, and even chocolate. Also include foods high in niacin, a B3 vitamin. These would include leafy vegetables, brown rice, liver, tuna, chicken, peanuts and sun dried tomatoes to name a few.
- Intermittent Fasting – studies have shown that a growth hormone response is triggered during short-term fasting. Pick one day per week or every other week and eat your last meal at dinner and don’t eat any food again until dinner the following night. Drink only water, coffee (without sugar or milk), or other zero calorie drinks.
- High intensity burst training can dramatically increase HGH levels. An example of short burst high intensity exercise would be sprinting 5 to 6 times with short resting periods. Another would be high intensity weight training with compound exercises with short rest periods.
- Sleep – HGH is released during REM deep sleep. Try to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each day. Make sure to sleep in a dark room, as this helps release a sleep hormone call melatonin. If you have a tough time falling asleep or staying asleep, try taking the supplement melatonin.
Lifestyle
How to Slow Down Aging Naturally with Exercise
It is in our nature to be physically active. We were not always stuck to our chairs at work in front of a computer, or on the couch in front of the television set. We started off as hunters and gatherers, and worked our way up to farmers and industrial workers. Now most of us have sedentary jobs, or are stay at home parents. A sedentary lifestyle over time will not benefit your health. Exercise is very important in keeping your body healthy and feeling young.
Without exercise, muscles will atrophy, bones become more brittle and osteoporosis may become a serious problem. Weight gain can lead to many problems, including joint pain, cardiovascular issues, heart disease, and diabetes, just to name a few. Exercise not only strengthens your heart and lungs, but also reduces stress, which is also a leading cause for many illnesses today.
If you are not able to workout at a local gym, you can workout at home. It is a good idea to combine both cardio exercise and weight training for optimum health. At the very least, go for a walk on a daily basis. Walk for 20-30 minutes and try to keep your heart rate elevated. Exercise will help remove toxins from your body thru your sweat glands and will force oxygen into your cells to stimulate healthy cell growth to keep you younger longer.
Sex
Ok, maybe I could have categorized this as exercise, but honestly most people do not enjoy doing exercise, but I don’t think there are too many of you that would disagree with me in saying that sexual activity is very enjoyable indeed. Thus, I am keeping this separate from exercise. If you disagree, I would love to have you comment below. Laugh!
Sex is one of the leading stress relievers, probably even more so than exercising. It also burns calories and is great for your cardio vascular system and a healthy heart. It can also prevent aging naturally by releasing a very important hormone called testosterone. This hormone is responsible for building bone and muscle tissue and keeping your skin youthful looking.
Sleep
Sleep may not seem to be as tough as working out or keeping a healthy diet, but many of us still have a difficult time getting the proper rest required each night for various reason. If you want to slow down aging and keep your body healthy, you must get sufficient rest. Our days are long and our bodies are stressed in many different ways, both physically and mentally. Sleeping is very powerful, in that it rejuvenates your entire body. When you sleep, your body is healing itself, removing toxins, relieving stress, regenerating cells and supplying them with renewed energy. Some may see sleeping as a waste of time, but it is a huge investment in the future of your health. An overly stressed body, without enough sleep will show age quickly, so don’t take sleep for granted and try to get at least 7-8 hours each day, or take a power nap if needed.

Melatonin is a natural hormone that is sold over the counter. Our body produces less melatonin as we age, making it more difficult for some of us to sleep.
- Take Vitamins and Supplements. In addition to eating healthy, take a good multivitamin or extra vitamin A, C, E, D, E, calcium and magnesium, and omega3 supplement.
- Drink water. Always keep your body well hydrated for proper organ and cell function.
- Exercise to prevent aging. If you cannot join a local gym, at least work out at home or walk 20-30 minutes each day.
Research
Latest research in Age Reversal
An article in ‘Discovery News’ on biotechnology titled ‘Molecular Fountain of Youth Discovered’ suggest that scientists are getting closer to the source of everlasting youth by harnessing a protein called SIRT3. Biologists found in a study that when the blood stem cells of aged mice were infused with SIRT3, it caused a regeneration of new blood cells. This study did not show an anti-aging effect, but better yet, it provided evidence of a reversal in the age-related degeneration of the blood cells. This is a very interesting article written on Jan 13, 2013 by Nic Halverson, and can be read at online at Discovery New.
How far would you go to slow down Aging
Would you increase HGH levels by taking injections if they were affordable?
I must say, very interesting results seen by our above poll. It appears most people would actually take injections to increase HGH levels. I was certainly surprised at first, but after further thought I realized that most of us would do probably do just about whatever it takes to stay young and hopefully at the same time live a longer healthier life. I would like to thank those who participated in this poll and at the same time ask that you also take a vote.
Conclusion
Exactly when mankind will discover the fountain of youth, or if we ever find it, is written in the stars. But how to slow down aging naturally is something we can do now by eating healthy and choosing more foods that slow aging, exercising regularly, getting plenty of quality sleep, and refraining or quitting those bad habits like smoking, while also taking steps to increase HGH levels. In the meantime we will keep our fingers crossed that scientist will indeed find a way to stop or even reverse the aging process very soon. Like tomorrow soon.
