Immunity Boosting Foods in the Home

Human Body gets easily affected by various viruses and bacteria if our immune system is not strong. A healthy immune system identifies and kills varieties of bacteria, viruses and parasites which causes fever,flu,cough etc and keep us Fit and Healthy for long time. There are some food which is easily available in our home that keeps our immune system strong.

Citrus Fruits:

Citrus fruits are rich sources of Vitamin C which is main component for boosting the immunity and make immune system strong. It helps in growth,development and repair of all body tissues and also refresh and hydrates the body. There are many fruits and vegetables that contains Vitamin C for example Orange, Lemon, tomatoes, Spinach, broccoli etc.



A Turmeric is very well known and mostly consumed spices specially in Cooking,it is widely used in all over the world . Turmeric has Anti-inflammatory properties, it also helps in healing wound fast and plays an important role in boosting immunity. Turmeric has a main active ingredient Curcumin, which has been studied as a beneficial herb in cancer treatment and been found to affect cancer growth, development and spread at the molecular level and also reduces the inflammation and oxidation which causes heart disease.


Green Tea:

Green Tea is one of the World's healthiest Beverages and getting day by day famous in youngster who wants to lose weight fast an works as an prebiotic, that is a beneficial gut bacteria tied to healthy immunity. It is full of anti-oxidants and it has less caffeine in comparison with others and has many other health benefits too. Green tea has an amino acid L-theanine which helps in optimize brain function to enhance working memory and also elevates mood and helps in protection against diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Green tea also supports heart health and lowers the L.D.L."BAD CHOLESTEROL" and oxidative stress.



Papaya is one of the fruit that is fully loaded with Vitamin C. It has Anti-oxidants which helps in reducing inflammation and fights with various disease. Papaya is rich in nutrients and has Anti-cancer properties. Papaya is rich source of fiber which helps in digestion and improves healthy gut, it has an enzyme called papain that helps in easing the bowel movements in the body, which helps in better absorption of nutrients and promotes digestion. Papaya has potassium which helps in lowering and balancing the high blood pressure



Almonds provide the essential Vitamins and Minerals for building immunity, it is a rich source of Vitamin E. Vitamin E a fat-soluble vitamin, which means it requires the presence of fat to be absorbed properly and helps in boosting immunity. Almonds are also good in taste add them in breakfast and also eat in evening snack as well, also provide you enough energy and keep you active for your whole day work. Almonds are high in protein,fats and fiber and has a mineral Magnesium that helps in controlling blood sugar level. Eating almonds on daily basis can help in reducing the bad cholesterol level and prevents the heart diseases.



Garlic belongs to the family of onion, it is commonly used in cooking all over the world because of its taste and health benefits. It has adequate amount of sulfur which helps in boosting immunity. Garlic is low in calories and rich in vitamin C, vitamin B6 and manganese, also has other important nutrients. Consumption of garlic on daily basis can help in reducing blood pressure and also helps in controlling heart diseases.



Yoghurt is by-product of milk which is a rich source of Vitamin D that gives boost to immune system and it has probiotics that works on building your immunity and lowers your chances of contracting various illnesses. Yogurt also has zinc and other minerals that are absolutely essential for good gut health and helps in fighting with various diseases and bacteria. It is a rich source of calcium that helps in maintaining bone health and also strengthen them. Adding yoghurt to your daily diet can help in reducing high blood pressure and kidney stones because of potassium in it which eradicates salt.


Bell Peppers:

Bell Peppers has 90% of water that is why it is low in calories and loaded with nutrients. Bell Peppers are excellent source of Vitamin C that helps in boosting immunity and also has Vitamin E that helps in keeping our skin fresh and young. It has Naturally Vitamin B6 presented in it which helps in mood balance and good sleep.
