Is old age really a boon?

Various factors including health care, hygiene, diet & nutrition, exercises, genetics determine the individual's longevity. In human it is around 120 years Certain mammals and reptiles live up to 200 years and in plant kingdom there are trees live over thousands of years.

As long as man lived in compliance with Nature, he lived over 120 years. We come across through media that many people live even to day for more than 100 years.Since the time he started shifting his thought pattern and belief system he generates illness, scarcity, poverty and all sufferings. In fact, our mind is our own world. It brings heaven or hell. We have free will to opt for better one.

Quantum physics explains that disease, illness, poverty, scarcity etc, do not exist in the Universal mind. It only understands love, peace, harmony and abundance of every kind. The negative thoughts, feelings, beliefs, habits which we have inherited over thousands of years reduced our life expectancy to somewhere around 60 years. According to Dr.Gary Null, a man can live up to 140 years if he changes his mind set up.

As love, peace, happiness emanates from our mind, the old age, illness, poverty etc are also mushroom from our mind. Therefore if we change our thought pattern by reprogramming our subconscious mind, we can bring prosperity in our life.

Our mind, voice, hearing ability, vision, brain, belief systems never get old unless afflicted by diseases or met with any accident. But down through the ages, we added erroneous energies to our mind. After 50 one feels old and try to cover up the appearance are the indication of fear in our mind and this brings reduction in activities and illness.

But the real beauty of old age is that it is a boon to every human being as it is the indication of maturity, inexhaustible knowledge, intelligence and wisdom. The vast experience and maturity bring respect from every corner.

So do not think of negativities, do not afraid of old age. Enjoy your old age as it is the gift of nature.

I have always tried to live a clean, positive life, but as I approach my 70's I find myself wracked with ongoing illness and pain. It is hard to believe that if I changed my mind my body would heal, but it is so nice to think about! I wish it were true!

I like the way you expressed the positive aspects of aging and agree that many fear aging partly due to negative mind sets about it.

Also, the way we live our lives has much to do with the decreased longevity we find in modern cultures.

We need to get back to being in harmony with nature, as you've stated here.

Voted up, useful, beautiful and interesting.

I like the idea that "our mind is our own world". Makes a lot of sense. I'd like to see you explore this concept more deeply...I feel like I've only eaten one peanut!

This is good one..........But if you experience, you get to know that when someone reaches the oldest stage of life, he/she behaves like a kid.........and I think it's natural. it's not matter of negative or positive thinking.....

I am curious about your link between Quantum Physics and the universal mind.

It does seem that our genetic code is inclusive of our aging processes, and that some degeneration over time is inevitable. It may be that positive thinking is better for people, but our life expectancy is currently more than 60 years, and I fail to see evidence for happy positve people living to 140. I'd like to see this a little more developed.

Wow, this is a very interesting hub. And it makes all sense. Negative thinking and deeds are indeed the major sources of our life's destruction. Thank you for sharing this!
