Worn out... by
the humid summer
it bakes me
while my daughter
Plays with - her brother
As if...
it is just another day.
Found out,
someone expired
when they heard
the news that -
said they were retired.
Kinder,
than being fired,
They’d say - but they could be
wrong.
Burnt out
from so many memories
now I'm left out
of their future plans
see them moving on
but I’m just
left forgetting
them.
Lights out
Never returning
Make our
new beginning.
Somehow…
Somehow we’ll find
our say.
