Introduction to the Lavender Bag Herbal Remedy

Sleepless nights and stress affect most of us at some ppoint in our lives, and they often arrive around the same time. Dealing with both stress and minor sleep disorders can be frustrating, after all, there is little you can do to relieve either.

Fortuantely there is a simple lavender herbal remedy which can help sooth your stress, and relax your body for a good nights sleep. Lavender bags help by using the natural properties of lavander to relax you while you sleep. The relaxing fragrances from lavander can help you sleep, especially when placed in to a lavender sleep bag or lavender pillow.

As well as helping you sleep, lavender bags are also great for headache relief, you can also add additional herbal remedies such as hops and rose petals to your lavender bags , both of which have soothing relaxing properties.

Buy a Lavender Sleep Bag

One of the easiest herbal remedy solutions for sleep deprivation and anxiety is a simple Lavender sleep bag, or even a lavender pillow. These are cheap, stylish, and effective at dealing with sleep disorders, plus you can also make lavender sleep bags and lavender sleep pillows at home!

For those don't have much lavender growing close by sometimes the only option is to buy lavender pillows or lavender sleep bags. If you are dermined however you can easily buy some dried lavender to use, although it may not be quite as effective as freshly dried lavender!

You can buy Lavender sleep bags on sites such as amazon, without spending a fortune, with the brilliant lavender herbal remedies!

How to Make a Lavender Sleep Bag

Making a Lavender Sleep Bag is easy as pie.  A lavender bag can be made easily with only a bit of spare material, a biece of string (or ribbon) and a lavender plant.  So without further ado, lets show you guys how to make a lavander bag!

1) Pick some lavender and leave it to dry, this should be out of direct sunlight, in an airy location.

2) Remove the stems from the dried lavender.

3) Cut some material to around 12" by 15", it should be cotton, although you can use plenty of other materials, but you might want to put a cotton inner cover on the inside.

4) Place some lavander in to the material.

5) Wrap the fabric around the lavender and bunch it up,then tie the open end with a piece of string or ribbon,

And there you have it, your very own lavender bag, perfect to help you sleep!

How to Make a Lavender Pillow

Looking at how to make a lavender pillow instead of a lavender bag? Creating a lavender pillow is very similar to creating a lavender sleep bag.

First off, you should always use a thin cotton inner bag to place you lavender, this can easily be placed in to a normal pillow case, or even in to the same pillow case as your normal pillow. You can always use an old pillow case to fill with lavender, please not though, that it should come to around 15" long, so you might want to do some resizing!

For each 15" of your lavender pillow you will need around a pound of dried Lavender flowers.  You can suppliment this with other relaxing herbs such as hops if required,

Once you have filled the lavender pillow with your herbs simply sew it up, and you have your very own lavender pillow.  If you wish to make a larger lavender pillow yu can easily do so, although you will need more lavender and herbs to bulk it out a little!
