Lose Weight the Old Fashioned Way

Updated on December 30, 2017

A fellow human who loves his planet and beyond, with interests that match and never end. One life. One love. Appreciate everything.

This is the real secret to losing weight

Losing weight , how to lose weight, secret to losing weight, the best ways to lose weight, eat these foods to lose weight, do this exercise to lose weight, wear this to lose weight, pay just $39.99 and I will tell you the secret that no one wants you to know about how to lose weight.

I read all kinds of titles with all kinds of gimmicks about losing weight.

People writing articles all over the internet about so many different ways to lose weight that it is no wonder people still don’t know what to do. It is very confusing if you listen to every suggestion and tip you come across.

Fact is it really isn’t confusing at all when it comes to losing weight. It is very straight forward. The hardest part about losing weight is the will power it takes and that actually gets easier with time once you start seeing some progress.

Okay so how is it so easy and what do I need to know is what you are probably thinking now. So I will tell you.

Losing weight is all about eating fewer calories in a day than you need to sustain your current weight.

That is it.

Now there are other things you can do to help speed up the process of course and I will definitely tell you some things you can do to help you.

Cutting calories

You can easily find out how many calories you need to maintain your current bodyweight in a day by using one of the many calorie calculators available to you online. Before that though you need to know a bit about excess calories and how many calories you should be dropping per day.

3500 excess calories will gain you a pound of fat. We want to do the opposite though and you need to drop 3500 calories for every pound of fat you want to lose.

The best way in my mind to do this is by cutting your daily required calorie count by 400 to 500 a day so that you will lose at least a pound a week but with anything you do like exercise on top of your dieting you will lose even more weight and it won’t even seem like you are trying because of the small amount of calories you are cutting every day.

Your chances of keeping the weight off by cutting just 4 to 5 hundred calories out per day is a lot greater than if you were to drop weight faster. It has been proven over and over again that people that drop to fast end up gaining most if not all the weight back.

Perform a search online for a calorie counter.

Exercise, exercise, exercise

Good old exercise.  Some people just cringe at the thought of it and I am not sure why because exercise can be anything you do that burns excess calories.

Things as simple as walking, washing windows, vacuuming, gardening, cutting the grass, riding a bike, swimming and yes you can lift weights and do hard core aerobics but the message I am trying to get across to you here is that you just have to be active and be active every day.

Even if you go for a walk once a day for 30 minutes I think you will be surprised at how effective any amount of exercise can be.  As the famous clothing brand Nike says. Just do it. I agree with them so just do it, anything.  Get that body moving and burning calories.

Clean up your diet

This one is common sense, right? Surprisingly some people don’t get this one. So I will help you with a few nutritional tips to help you get on the right track.

Drink more water, cut back on junk food like chips, pop, candy, alcohol, anything with white flour, eat more raw vegetables, leaner cuts of meat.

This is very basic as far as tips go. The important thing here regarding nutrition is to cut out foods that are processed and manmade in any way as much as you can and you will feel the difference in no time.

Drink lots of water every day to help your body function properly and expel all of the terrible toxins in your system.

One other thing to try and do is not eat anything within a few hours of going to bed. Anything you eat just before bed will for the most part end up as fat, so not a good idea.

Eat 5 or 6 smaller meals and snacks throughout the day, it will be easier to lose weight eating like this.

Never give up

So there you have it. No real big secrets here on how to lose weight. Fact is it is very straight forward.  Cut back on calories, exercise and do your best to clean up your diet. Willpower is important.

Never quit trying, even if you have a bad day or two and over eat just get back on that horse and ride. Nobody is perfect not I not you not anyone so do your best and you will eventually see your goals come true.

Good luck.

Lose weight the old fashion way. Cut calories, exercise and watch the types of food you eat.
