My First Experience with Essential Oils

Melody has been using and selling essentials oils for the past 10 years even before they were popular.

My First Experience

Imagine a headache that lasts for months... never ending... never letting up. I know some of you can relate to this. Now imagine walking into a friend's house and having her apply two different oils to the back of your neck. 5 minutes later... no headache!

Background

Let's take a step back... about 4 months.

I had been suffering from extreme headaches caused by tension. They were so intense and long lasting that my doctor finally insisted on an MRI to try to determine the cause or, at the very least, to rule out some causes. All tests came back negative (which was a big relief) and so after several more weeks of investigating possible causes, he determined that my chronic headaches (not exaggerating... I had had them 24/7 for the previous 4-5 months) were simply the result of stress.

Stress??? Really??? Headaches 24/7 with no relief..... due to stress. Yep, it was true.

Knowing stress was the cause actually helped to alleviate some of the pain. They were no longer 24/7 but they were doggedly relentless. Coming and going constantly and still pretty extreme in their intensity. Nothing relieved them for long periods of time.

The Encounter

After several years a dear friend suggested that I needed to get some Peppermint Essential Oil by Young Living. She had been using essential oils for several years and wanted me to give them a try. Now, to be honest, essential oils sounded a bit hokey to me. I had used magnets in the past so I was open to alternative ways to improve my health… but still… essential oils? It didn’t seem plausible.

About 4 months after first talking to her about these oils over the phone, she slapped some oils on me when I came into the house. Within 5 minutes… headache gone!!! There hadn’t been many days when it was simply… completely… GONE!

The Result

Over the next few weeks, I had the relief of being headache free for a majority of the time. Did the headaches leave and not come back? No. Did I suddenly become totally stress-free? No. But when the headaches came, I had Peppermint and to fall back on. I was certainly sold on their benefits and effectiveness immediately and during the next few weeks I learned that it wasn’t a fluke.

That was 10 years ago. My life is still stressful. Who’s isn’t? But I have my essential oils to help me deal with some of the consequences of a stressful life.

Peppermint Essential Oil and PanAway Essential Oil!!!!

PanAway Essential Oil by Young Living in a 5ml bottle is also an option.

Today

Today I sell essential oils on a limited basis. People are becoming more educated about essential oils and they are way more receptive to hearing about them and trying them out.

My goal is to help in that educational process by sharing my experiences and what I've learned about them.
