My worth isn't just about what I do, although breathing is a good start

I am special even if I only convert O2 to CO2

"I had a super busy day today converting oxygen into carbon dioxide" --I wish this had been my response when I was unemployed and people asked, 'what do you do?' - Because the other answers were awkward; why does everyone care what you do?

We are all special as HUMAN BEINGS -- just being and converting oxygen in to CO2.

I have never heard any one "do" happy unless of course there was something else called happy than just a feeling.

We are happy.

I have never heard any "do" joy and for real joy comes through contentment with how things are and that things aren't the same but you are /have learnt to be ok with that. We "do" good things. People look upon us kindly and are sometimes even grateful. We work, and contribute to society, that can help us be connected and fulfilled. These are nothing if we are not content with ourselves, our surroundings, if we can't be with ourselves on our own, comfortable in our skin. We need to be people we can hang out with when no- one else is around. "Be" true, to ourselves

Live how you want to not in reaction to your circumstances or others around you, do that with respect to your circumstances and those around you.

It’s about being first and then doing... learn how to be and the doing comes next. Learning how to "be" is the hardest lesson of all, doing is almost easier, and it is almost easier to believe that what you do is all you are. This can be a trap as sometimes we "do" things in reaction to circumstances or others - that may not be good - and this is because we haven't learnt to "be". Hurting people, hurt people. Learn to file the hurt away - doesn't mean you forget or it magically disappears - just means that it isn't sitting right in the middle of your thoughts tripping you up. It has a place, it has feelings attached to it, but it is filed in a place that can be revisited or left alone, to learn to be.

Breathe in and out. Breathe Oxygen in Carbon dioxide out. Work out what ye “be." If you didn't know what to "do", it may follow who ye “be”.

Do people place too much emphasis on what you do?
