Pink Eye Symptoms
If you have itchy, watery, painful eyes than you may have pink eye. Pink eye tends to be common in children, but adults can get it as well. The biggest indication that you may have pink eye is really itchy eyes. If you have ever had an eye allergy, pink eye mimics those symptoms. Having said that though, you don't want to look at just the itch factor when it comes to possibly having pink eye. Some people can pet a cat and it automatically makes their eyes start itching, even if they don't have a allergy to cats.
The second biggest indication of pink eye is when you look at the eye it will be a reddish/pinkish color.
The third thing is watery eyes. Because the eyes way of cleaning out is by producing tears, you will notice the eyes are very watery.
There is medicine that can prescribed by a doctor, but you can go to the pharmacy area and get over the counter medicine that works just as well. For pain and agitation, just take Tylenol. Pink eye is contagious, so use caution when it comes to touching the infected eyes and then touching other things.
