Positive Attitude with Humor During Difficult Times
"Keep calm and carry on." "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." "Don't worry, be happy."
POSITIVE ATTITUDE IN DIFFICULT TIMES
I am sitting alone in my apartment on the 20th floor which I have been for the last 2 weeks self isolating trying to deal and make sense of this horrific pandemic. I ask myself how would my dear mother Dr. B.J. have dealt with this if she were alive today. I hear her echo of what she has told me over the years (70) to be exact. "What other choice do you have but to deal with it."
I believe she would say:
Try and be positive and make the most of your time. Embrace your family near and far. Read all the wonderful hubs that people are writing. Eat a lot of chocolate because that will raise your endorphins. Endorphins are receptors in the brain that help minimize discomfort. They can also help bring about feelings of euphoria and general well-being and we definitely need that. Chocolate is definitely a comfort food! My cabinets are full off it.
But, most importantly don't lose your sense of humor.
"Worry is like a rocking chair: It gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere," wrote humorist Erma Bombeck.
I wish you all Health and Positivity to get through this and we will!
